Delete mail.ru account - mail.ru

Normally, when you delete a message in an IMAP account, it gets a line through it, until you completely eradicate the message by purging the Inbox. (Many consider this an irritating "feature".) The message does not go to the "Deleted Items" folder, the "Trash" or anywhere else. However, after purging, a message that was marked for deletion will be completely erased.
To permanently delete the items marked for deletion, do the following:
Click a folder in your IMAP e-mail account (e-mail account: The server name, user name, password, and e-mail address used by Outlook to connect to an e-mail service. You create the e-mail account in Outlook by using information provided by your administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).). On the Edit menu, point to Purge Deleted Messages. Do one of the following:
Click Purge Marked Items in "folder".
Only items marked for deletion in the folder that you are in are purged from the IMAP mail server.
Click Purge Marked Items in "e-mail account".
All items marked for deletion in any folder for this IMAP e-mail account are purged from the IMAP mail server.
Click Purge Marked Items in All Accounts.
All items marked for deletion in any folder for any IMAP e-mail account are purged from the IMAP mail server.

You cannot delete only your Yahoo Mail account without deleting your entire Yahoo account.

Yahoo does offer a few tips related to this, but if you would like to remove your entire yahoo account (mail included) Yahoo offers step-by-step instructions on their website.

It is common when ISP are updating thier spyware, malware and spam filters certain emails or domains get flagged. There was a lot of Spam that was flowing from .ru domains at one point. It doesn't mean all is bad it's just the filter system as it follows the path of the problem. Because your email address is generic @mail.ru it can be a great use for hiding spam. Its more than likely it will clear once the source of the problem is tracked down. Last point can also be when a mail server is getting work done. It is shut down as upgrades are down. This produces bounced mail as well. Good Luck

To delete your Yahoo Mail go to https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete/_user it will ask you to log in and or verify password for the account you are deleting you will than need to enter the security code and click on YES terminate this account.

You cannot delete the email account alone, you'll have to delete everything associated with that Yahoo ID. To do that goto https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user

there is a deactivate option in facebook which deactivates your account.but your personal information will remain....
