Kenmore HE3,what F6 means

The F6 error code means that the computer on the control didnt detect that the motor reached a high speed on the spin cycle, sometimes it thinks the washer didnt spin fast enough because of a loose wire connection either on the motor or the control boards (motor &machine control) if you find that the washer did actually spin at high speed (clothes dont come out sopping wet at the end of cycle) the wire connections or the motor control board will be the potential causes of the F6 error code. What is the complete model number of your unit?

The F06 error code on the HE3 elite is a tachometer error. Per the tech sheet, it says to check all connections and continuity between the MCU, CCU and Drive Motor. You would need a multimeter and be able perform an ohms test on the Motor, the Motor Control Unit, and the Central Control Unit as well. I'm having the same issue. It's as if the drum is off-balance.

The F06 error code on the HE3 elite is a tachometer error. Per the tech sheet, it says to check all connections and continuity between the MCU, CCU and Drive Motor. The tech sheet says normal reading is at 6 ohms.

The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after three minutes.

Possible Causes / Procedure

1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and cables are removed.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
5. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
6. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.

Replace failed component.

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

apply a small amount of cooking oil imside tub ,, must use only HE deteregent if you are ,,, maybe too much

no ..there is a bolt through one of the mounting usually it is metric but i thing a 1/2 standard will fit ..bad motor ??? hard to believe motor is usually most reliable part on those washers
