Vacuum This dirt devil was performing like a charm and than after about 6 months it would not pick up anything.I went back to wall mart and purchased the correct filter thinking this was my problem. The vacuum seems to be pushing the dirt backwards and not being picked up by the vacuum. Please help!

Same things just started happening with my dirt devil, all of a sudden. I'm glad I didn't buy another filter. Will try to clear out the hose first. Thanks.

Yep check the hose at the back as it may well be clogged. Also undo the soleplate/floorhead and have a look up the dirt channel behind the floor brush. Either that take off the main bin and check the dust channel leading down to the hose.

Brush roller won't turn

Hey, this is Jeremy with Crucial Vacuum,

There are 2 potential reasons as to why your Dirt Devil AccuCharge roller brush is not working:

1) The roller brush may be blocked by debris that was picked up by the vacuum. To remove the blockage, switch your vacuum 'OFF' and unplug before proceeding. Then, lay the vacuum down and try to remove anything that is lodged in the roller brush.

2) If the vacuum cleaner brush is not spinning the belt might be broken, stretched out too much, or might have fallen off. Check the belt and replace if needed.

How do i clean canister of dirt devil featherlight bagless caniter vacuum

Hi there! To clean the canister or dirt cup, first remove the dirt cup from the vacuum. Twist off the dirt cup lid. Remove the pleated filter and empty the dirt cup. Tap the filter against the trash can until the dirt stops falling. If the filter is really dirty it may need to be replaced. The filter should be replaced every 6 months. I have included a link where you may go to purchase a replacement filter if needed.

Thanks! Hope this helps!

Dirt Devil easy lite makes pop or a thunk and then the suction is bad the clog lite does not come on I know it works

Hi, it's Cindy from Crucial Vacuum.

From your description, it sounds like there may be something stuck in your roller or your filter may need cleaning or replacement. Refer to page 22 of your manual to remove your roller.

For optimal performance, your filter should be replaced every 3-6 months and washed every 1 month. Your filter is located under the dirt cup holder.

Why is my Dirt Devil Vacuum Hose lacking suction?

I have a Dyson and was having a similar problem some time back. I found out these bagless systems still have a filter that picks up the fine dust to keep it contained. Find out where yours is located and beat the dust out of it really good or just replace it.
Hope this helps.

How do you empty it?

There is a black clip at the top of the dirt cup which holds the dirt cup in place on this vacuum. Pull back on this clip with one hand and with the other you will be able to remove the entire dirt cup assembly. Once the dirt cup assembly is off remove the lid, and take the bottom portion to the trash can and dump. Tap the side of the cup slightly to remove excess dirt. Romove the dirt cup filter inside and do the same. Replace the fiter and the lid and put it back on to the machine. You should replace the dirt cup filter every 6 months to a year. Part is below:

Turns on but does not want pick up anything.Suction is good but the garbage does not go into cannister.

The reason it is not picking up is because the belt is stretched or worn. You simply need to replace the belt. you can get belts here:

Dirt Devil M084600 Dynamite

If it is only 2 months old, then it is under warranty, take it in for warranty repair. There may be a circuit breaker on it, usually on the back at the bottom, it there is, push it to see if it has tripped.
