Missing contact in Nortel 1120E

Hi I have a question, in my nortel phone there's an option for viewing a directory, but there's one contact that doesn't appear and I don't know why. Can you tell me if there's an option in the Nortel Software that can help me solve this problem.

It depends on what system it connected to. On my BCM450 voicemail must be set up by that individual to see their name in the directory.

1120e phones keep rebooting

The phone's configuration is likely corrupt and it will need to be reset to factory defaults and reprogrammed.

To stop the reboot cycle, try this:

- Connect the phone to POE (Power Over Ethernet) injector, but do not plug in a data cable into the injector.

- When the message "Cable Unplugged" appears on the screen, connect a data cable to the POE injector.

The phone should return to an online state.

Nortel IP Phone 1120E

It requires a router with IP phone options. Like Cisco 2800 Series Integrated Services Routers. They are more for offices and are very expensive, but shop around there may be something out there for the home by now.

I have a nortel 1120e but I have a problem. When I make a call I can not hear the other person but they can hear me my. How can I fix it?

I'm not familiar with this particular phone, but our Nortel system phones sometime act up. The trouble is almost always the cord or handset, especially if the phone is wall-mounted and the handset has taken a dive or two to the floor. On rare occasions we've had a phone go bad, but not often.

Try another cord first, then swap handsets with another phone if you can. That will probably solve the trouble.

Directory key = "no application available", need to store phone #

You need to configure your CS 1000 for Personal Directory / Redial List / Callers List through Element Manager. Instructions for doing this are in the IP Line Fundamentals NTP. You can download the NTP from www.nortel.com/support.

If your system is a Nortel Callpilot just log into your mailbox, then press 8, the first option "Record your name in the company directory" is what I think you're looking for.
