Trying to find the Thermal Reed Switch

I know the Thermal Reed Switch ( made by Tokin pt# TRS5-60BLRU) is bad. Where can get it? I checked with Tokin and it seems like they are part of NEC. However they only sell the part to big distributors. Anyone know of any distributors that will sell me just one?

Console getting erratic numbers and motor will not run. i have checked the reed. my father does not remember how tech support had told him to reset console. Was working intermittenly before we checked...

If the console takes batteries, replace them. If this does not work or your console does not require batteries, check the reed switch or optic sensor. Reed Switch: Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The reed switch is mounted on the frame next to the front roller pulley. There is a magnet glued into the front roller pulley. When adjusting the reed switch, make sure it is pointing directly at the magnet. Move the tip of the reed switch within 1/8" of the magnet. Also, check to see that the wire is not damaged, and is connected to the console

Tight the connector from Display Board vs Main Motor Board.

See the block diagram how the main motor board has aprox 90% functions in any treadmill. Good luck, Now you will strong resultant in determine what is faulty.

Hot Cooktop indicator

You either have a reed or thermal limiter switch that is bad or a switch that is bad. The only way to determine it is with a meter. I think that this job is better left to a professional unless you know how to use a volt/ohm meter.

Overheat led blinking

Did you ever get a answer to this question? I have a hitachi 50vs810 with the same problem. I found the same sensor "tokin ohd3-90m."
I ohmed across mine and it shows open. I then held my lighter under it and it stayed open. I suspect this part is bad so I tried jumping it out. No change. Still have the same blinking temp light.
So... in the end I don't know if I tested it right or not either. Good luck and let me know if you learned anything that can help me out.
