KDF-46E2000 turns off then back on by its self

Hey Vince, not sure of your model, but this may help. Last year, my older Sony started acting up. I would hit the power button and the red light would flash, fan would come on, no picture and then would power down. I bought a replacement bulb from Amazon and that solved it! Still using it today! It sounds like the power supply is having an issue. Yes its easially replaced no special tools required just a screwdriver. You can get the power supply board from www.tvcircuitboards.com

I found the manual online for the URC-7710, but i do not see a code for an Acer TV.

Try a code search by following these steps:

1. Turn on TV.
2. Hold down the Magic button, the red light will blink once then twice, release the Magic button.
3. Press 991, the red light will blink twice.
4. Press power button once.
5. Aim remote at TV and press the Channel Up button repeatedly (up to 150 times) until TV turns off. Note: if you skipped the code that turned the TV off you can go back by pressing the Channel Down button once.
6. Press the Magic button to store the code for your TV set.

the first thing that you need to do is to open the back cover of your tv.Go to the power supply section it is separate board where the power cord is connected.Using a multitester,plug in the power cord and measure for the output supply.see if the 5vdc ,12vdc and 24vdc are present..if one of this output is missing,replace the power supply board But if the output voltage are complete,replace the inverter board,It is a board that supplies the high voltage to the backlights of your monitor/screen....You can also try to reset the system of your tv by pressing the the small switch mounted on the main board press it twice while the power is on...tnx and good luck!

if it turn off after sec then go to red light then it is common power supply board, but you need to check all your board fusees then look at all capacitors if it blown then replace it with the same type but when the board out the TV and be very careful for power , also get another opinion. good luck

U might have sleep timer on?Push the menu to see it have 30,60,90,120.If u don't ur tv have problems.Call for warenty repair,or return it were u purchase for an exchange.

Three blinks is a lamp cover error. Make sure the lamp cover is back on securely and try again, there is a switch that does not allow the TV to turn on unless the lamp cover is on correctly.

If this does not work, then it means the lamp cover switch was damaged when you were putting the new bulb in and you need to get the switch repaired or get a new switch. They are two of them and cost about $15 each.

These TVs have a self-diagnostic screen that a tech can access to help solve the problem. Your problem could be any number of things including the fan(s) stopping, the ballast board failing, Q-box issue or none of the above.
