Go to control panel, then printers and faxes, then right click on it and click "use printer online"

I have the same problems printing to my HP 6300 using Windoz 7. I have tried the solutions posted on HPs FAQ... They don't work for me. Here are the two solutions that work for me:
1) Boot Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS (Dual boot laptop in my case)
1A) Work and print from there (works every time for me)
2) Use your smartphone running Android ICS
2A Work and print from there (works every time for me)
HTH.
I have the same trouble with the hp 6300 series going offline. In the properties though, it says "use printer offline". It's as if it doesn't realize it already is offline. (It tells me so in the devices and printers screen). Please advise. I keep having to uninstall and reinstall the printer and since I've had to do that often, it no longer recognizes that it's also a scanner!! I have to find the drivers for that online even though it goes online to reinstall it. Please help!
