Stuck in Rinsing Cycle

Hi Last night i pressed the Rinsing cycle button on my machine by mistake but thought that since i was selling it, it might be a good idea to give it a good rinse thru. I let it go on for about an hour and then it was making a noise and hardly any water was coming out even though the tank was still half full. i turned the machine off and turned it back on again and even though the noise had gone it was still stuck in rinsing cycle. i left it a couple more hours and by the time i switched it off for the night it was only dripping water (tank still half full). I turned it on this morning, display still says rinsing cycle but nothing is coming out of the nozzle at all, i have opened steam knob and some came out of there but not alot and now that has stopped. What should i do? I have filled the tank back up to the MAX but nothing is coming through. I did try and take the dispenser out but couldnt and then reading on here that you are not able to anyway. All the other people on here are saying that the water won't stop but my machine has only rinsed half a tank at most. Help would be much appreciated.

After being on all day the machine has not done a thing, no water rinsing thru and it still says rinsing cycle. The cup hot place has heated up nicely but no other noise or movement all day? is this right?

3rd day now, display still says rinsing cycle but not doing anything. No water going thru the machine no noise, the cup warmer is warm and that is all. Do you think that on the first day when it was only dripping water thru and making a noise i shouldnt of turned it off? Maybe motor burnt out or something can anyone help? Please

I am guessing my machine has given up the ghost now. Still in rinse cycle. no water has come thru since the first day which was only half a tank before it started making a noise.

I have a illy x7.1 and wil not come in the descaling mode

There is another process to get into descale mode on some 7.1 machines. I got this from Illy Support:
Descale Cycle
• Turn off machine
• So the usual filling if container with descale fluid
• Turn machine on and within 15 seconds from power on – press and hold in the big cup
button until it gives 4 acoustic signals and then release your finger.
• The big blue cup button should now be flashing
• Press the big blue cup button once – the machine will now dispense water intermittently
from the coffee group head and the steam arm and the steam and coffee button will be
flashing alternately
• Once the descaling cycle has completed it will give out a long acoustic signal
• The coffee button will continue to flash
Rinsing Cycle
• Remove the water tank – wash out and fill with clean fresh water just over the MAX level
• Empty the container holding 1 litre of water and reinstate back under coffee group head and
point steam arm in container.
• Press the flashing big cup button once
• Water will again dispense intermittently from group head and steam arm
• An acoustic signal will sound out as soon as the rinsing cycle is complete.
• The Big Blue coffee button will be steadily lit
• Remove 1 litre container.
• Remove water tank – clean and refill with clean water

–red light should now be off and ready to make coffee

Rinsing...Warming UP... message on Saeco Magic Comfort plus

HI, I am sure you have solved your problem, however:
If you Descale the machine and let it Rinse to complettion of the
cycle; it resets the machine and it will start Rinising after warmup.

Otherwise press the Menu button and go to Energy Saving
then press the Esc buttton. This allows the machine to start
without Rinsing. Also you may turn Rinsing to Off in the Menu.

Rinsing cycle won't START

After all, I turned machine off with power switch, waited 30 seconds and turned it back on. It displayed "RINSING CYCLE" message, but this time went through regular rinsing cycle, then rinsed thoroughly (I counted several cups of water) and RETURNED TO NORMAL.

Halleluiah! Now I can get my morning coffee again!
