I'm having challenges with the Motorola MD760 Cordless phone.
The letters and numbers that appear in the window of the handset are slowly disappearing. The black fonts are not solid. They are now seperating. Reading is impossible. Any suggestions (aside from buying a new phone)? I have this phone for approximately 3-4 years. Thanking you in advance for your expertise.

Remove the spare battery (if any) and handsets from the base station. Navigate in the menus to the "base settings". Your screen should say "ringer volume, ringer melody, keypad tone, tone/pulse, ..." Punch in the reset code (including the stars): **335782 Wait for the phone to restart itself (about 5 seconds). Re-register all of your handsets.
I feel soooo stupid...I guess somehow when I was retrieving my msgs remotely, the answer machine got turned off. I just pressed the on button & the "0" appeared again. But I never touch that button so don't know how the machine got turned off. Thanks anyway. But why is there no phone # to get a live person like there used to be???
You need to reset the time after a power outage.
Press the Day/Check, Hour, and Minute buttons until the correct time is heard-- Press Day/Check until you hear the correct day announced. Then do the same with Hour, and then Minute.
this is a battery prob replacing battery will solve this prob hope this solves your prob make sure the battery connectors are conected propery securely first before replacing if ok then replace batt and prob should be solved check then conectors are clean where the phone sits on base and check phone sit on base properly if it does then it is def the batt replace.
Open this link; go to the FAQ's for an MD760/MD761 and it solved my similar problem for my phone. Primarily, you will be resetting your system (almost like rebooting) and if necessary, deregister and follow with registering. I did not have to do the last part (deregister), but it does work. Good luck.
