The most important thing is the material and its quality, select a pot with thick base, stainless steel pots would be the best choice are very versatile and inexpensive.

I think the most important thing is the bottom of the pot. When you cook, you do not want the bottom of the soup to get burnt! Even if your pot is the perfect size and shape, if your soup burns, the pot is still no good. You have to make sure the bottom is made of a good material and it is thick and heavy.

Does a stock pot need a flat lid?

A flat lid is necessary for controlling evaporation. You can half cover the pot while the liquid is simmering. This doesnt work so well with a domed lid.

Help me to choose right component for Radeon HD4850 512MB ddr5?

run at least 2.5 gig of memory. You can get them cheap on ebay. Processor should be duo core or equivelant. Single processors work, but do lag. Graphics cards are not actually as important as people think. You can use a stock graphics card with good processor and 2-4 gig of memory and have a good gaming computer.

I need volume pot. I have tried to purchase one

Hiya you should be able to get a pot at any electronics supplier if there are any in your area. Pots are fairly standard (if this is a 270 degree pot). Take it into them and ask them for an equiv. Most important is it is probably a Log pot, They should be able to arrange... If theres no solution there, let me know... take you through it. Good luck
