I keep loosing internet service every couple min. the light will be green, then it will flash then it turns red, then it turns green again...........I The modem is a Netopia. Silver box i dont know what it is

If you haven't done so already I would turn the netopia router off and back on again at least once. If that doesn't solve the problem it's probably a sync issue with your providers equipment. I'm assuming you're using ATT because of the Netopia router, but generally speaking you should contact your provider and have them run a line test.
They can determine if the line is good or not. If It is all working fine at the time you call ask them to run monitoring on the line for the following 24-48 hours to try and anticipate a reoccurrence. Insist that they call you back regardless at the end of the monitoring term to share their results with you.

Absolutely. Wireless LAN is on 2.4GHZ. You will want to get a phone at a different frequency.

You can try enabling your pop up blocker in internet options, but this is a problem i have never heard of before, and now i see that 3 of my people have it.....hmmmm
The proper method to bring resolution to the issue is to reset the modem. If it keeps doing it, you need to call your ISP and have them swap it out. If its a netopia 3347, those are new, it only came out last year, call your ISP and have them swap it out, there shouldnt even be a charge. 1-877-SBC-DSL5, thats 1-877-722-3755. When you're prompted, say 'tech support' for tier 1.

Reset your netopia by holding the reset button in for at least 30 seconds.
Reconfig your netopia again.
You do this by opening internet explorer. It will say "Page cannnot be displayed"
type 192 168.1 254 in the address bar (where you normally type www)
the username is admin
the password is the serial number on the bottom of the netopia
click on configure
click on quickstart
put in your userID like [email protected]
and your password
click submit at the bottom
and then click the yellow triangle dealie at the top right
click save and restart the database
when it comes back on in a few minutes, you'll be online
If this doesnt resove the issue, then your firmware is messed up and its time to swap out the netopia.
