I replaced the batteries in my 7542 scale and it keeps showing err or Lo. What can I do?

have you replaced the batteries with duracell or energizers? I ask this because sometimes when it comes to this type scales using a lower name brand type of battery isnt strong enough for it or there just may be a malfunction in that product.
