Grage door blinking yellow, click and won't open with anything.

Your new opener is on a different radio frequency. That old stuff will not work.

Call around to the Chamberlain dealers in the yellow pages. They might have one in stock. The part number is 66LM. They are expensive though. $55.00. You might consider replacing that old opener you have.

Anytime the main light flashes 10 times and the door reverses to the open position it is a door sensor problem. If the transmitting sensor light is blinking it is bad.

If you cannot get the light on the sensor to come on by tweaking it,making sure it is pointed at the other sensor and your wiring is not broken or shorted then your sensors need to be replaced.

Check to make sure your door sensors are properly aligned. They each have a small light and both lights will be on if they are aligned.

Make a slight adjustment to the Upward force on the side of the machine. Turn the screw a 1/4 turn each time and test, see if that helps. Also, make sure there are no obstructions or friction when the door opens and closes. Try it manually first.

It sounds like you did a really good job! My Craftsman 1/2 hp gar. dr. opener has a red reset button on it on the l/h side as you are looking at the light/motor from the garage door opening. You have to take the light cover off to be able to see it. My reset button is on the same side as the ground wire. You might check the ground wire while you're there. I really hope that this fixes it for you (and me). I'm quite sure it will as you know your way around the garage door opener already. Good Luck and Let me Know (Please) if it fixed it or not. Yeh, read manual. Do both sensors have led lit. try aligning. you have safety beam problem,

hit learn button for 10 seconds. now nothing will work except wired buttons. Hit learn for 1 second and put in yur 4 digit keypad code and hit enter, light on motor will blink twice. hit learn again for 1 second and push button on remote. again bulb will blink. continue pushing learn for 1 second and adding another remote.
