Set up i set set up my telescope during the day,an i can see every thing .but when i try it at night i see nothing.just blackness

This is really not suitable for viewing objects in the night sky -- except for the moon possibly. It is only 40mm ---- a pair of 10x50mm binoculars has more like gathering power than this small refractor scope.

Just put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the diagonal at the rear of the scope (the focuser) take the scope outside during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object. The moon should be your first target at night. Again this scope is really not suitable for viewing the night sky.

You need to do two things before you take it out at night.

1. Align the small finder scope with the main tube. During the day time focus on a distant object like the top of a telephone pole. Without moving the main tube-- adjust the finder scope so the crosshairs point at the exact same spot.

2. Practice focusing during the daytime on distant objects.

Can you see Light through it during the day time? If you can nothing is wrong. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the TOP and try focusing on a distant object during the day time.

Turn the focus knob until you get a sharp image.

Objects in the sky are VERY TINY- no larger than the tip of your finger held at arm's length! You must be pointed directly at them to see them. Buy several good astronomy books like- "Turn Left at Orion", or "Nightwatch".

Join a local astronomy club and the members will help you FIND objects in the night sky.

We receive MORE bad reports on this particular telescope than on any other by the way. The SALE of this scope should be against the law! It's just a toy telescope.

Telescopes have a VERY small field of view. You must be pointed directly at the object. Why not practice focusing during the day time on a distant object, and then try for a large target like the moon at night.

Put the lowest magnification eyepiece in the telescope. It's the one with the LARGEST number --- try focusing on a distant light at night or distant object during the daytime.
