Washing machine won't drain water after rinse cycle
My Samsung SW61-ASP washing machine won't drain after the rinse cycle. It drains no problem at the end of the wash cycle, but seems to get stuck at the end of the rinse cycle. There are no blockages and the water pump works.
When it finishes rinsing and prepares to pump the water out, the pump's impellor starts spinning, there is a click sound, but the water pump doesn't start to drain the tub. Eventually it does kick in and starts to drain, but sometimes this may be an hour later.
Any ideas on what would be the cause of this issue would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It appears your pressure switch has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing. I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information. RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell. In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

Yes, a faulty water level pressure sensor can cause a washing machine to get stuck at the rinsing cycle and not drain. The water level pressure sensor is responsible for detecting the water level in the washing machine tub and signaling the control board to activate the drain pump to remove the water. If the pressure sensor is faulty and cannot detect the water level, it may not signal the control board to activate the drain pump, causing the washing machine to get stuck in the rinsing cycle.
To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:
Turn off the washing machine and unplug it from the power source.
Locate the water level pressure sensor, which is typically located on the side of the washing machine tub.
Check the wiring and connections to make sure they are secure and not damaged.
Use a multimeter to test the continuity of the water level pressure sensor. If the sensor is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
If the sensor appears to be working properly, check the drain pump and hoses for clogs or obstructions.
Reconnect the washing machine and run a cycle to see if the issue has been resolved.
If you are unsure about performing any of these steps or if the issue persists, it is recommended to contact a qualified technician for assistance.
If the water won't drain out of your washing machine, either something is stuck in the drain hose or pump, or the pump is broken. Both fixes are simple if you're even just a little bit handy with tools. We're showing the repair on a Maytag washing machine. What is wrong with a washer that does not spin?
If your washer fills with water but doesn't agitate, the problem is likely to be a faulty lid switch, a broken belt, or a problem with the motor. (Note: Direct-drivewashing machines do not have belts.) To diagnose the problem, do the following: 1Check the washing machine's spin cycle.
If the washer won't drain there might be a clogged pump or hose. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and clog the hose leading to the pump or the pump itself. Remove the hoses from the pump in order to remove the article of clothing.
