Transmission fuse blown

Before u replace any relay find the fuse for this make sure its not blown.

Sounds like a speed sensor has failed. Could also be that the transmission fuse has blown. Check fuses and get codes cleared. Other things, that will affect the transmission shift points, would be the manifold absolute pressure MAP sensor, throttle position sensor, PRNDL switch (shifter location switch). Probably just a power issue.

There is a switch on the transmission that is activated when reverse is chosen although on automatic transmission cars it is usually connected to the gear selector in console or colomn. This switch may need replacement. First check fuses .

In the fuse box and usually labelled. If not, pull each fuse one at a time and check for blown fuse.

Reverse light works on a switch that's is located on your transmission . so the problem is with the switch or fuse or maybe even globes are blown ? good luck.

Hi I had the same problem with mine when I called a dealer they said I had to change the transmission which cost me $1200. I asked some mechanics and was told they need to take the transmission out if you are told the same thing don't believe them turns out it just a bad fuse that blown. Look in ur fuse box for a blown fuse (fuse box located in the car by the driver side bar just below it on the left and the other fuse box in front pop the hood.) Replace the transmission range switch for starters, if that doesn't correct the problem you have have a shorted shift solenoid on the valve body inside the transmission.

Transmission isn't fuse controlled.

the fluid is drained by removing the transmission pan located under the car. make sure you buy a transmission filter kit so you can change the filter and gasket. the trans fluid is added to the dipstick tube, where you have located the dipstick.

The key symbol on the dash normally will go out when the ignition is turned on, if it doesn't, you have a security system issue as I'm sure you've already guessed. I would start by checking the fuse box under the hood on the drivers' side of the engine compartment for blown fuses, this could be as simple as just a blown security system fuse. The under side of the fuse box lid should have all of the fuse labeling locations, you can also look in your owners manual for fuse locations and definitions. If you don't find any blown fuses you will have to go to someone who has a scan tool that can pull security system codes, the generic scan tools can only pull engine/transmission codes.
