I have a Necchi 535FA sewing machine that will not catch either the thread, just leaves a stright line of thread not catched

I have cleaned the machine & oiled it. It worked fine last time I used it. Now I'm lucky if it will even catch the bottom thread to start sewing & if it does that's about as far as it goes as it stitches but nothing is hapening. It's like I have no thread in the machine.

Try changing the needle
also try rethreading the machine top and bobbin
make sure the bobbin is turned the correct way in the bobbin case
if the suggestions don't help then it's possible that the machine
needs to be checked for a timing problem

SOURCE: I've got a Necchi 535FA with a bobbin thread that doesn't hook.

Sounds to me like you may have put the needle in backwards. The flat side should be to the back.

Necchi 525FA is leaving too much thread and catching, causing to break thread. How do I correct this?

Could be - yr needle is bent. Replace it, or - I (too cheap to toss them), have gently re-straightened them. Or, I could be wrong. Love Necchi machineS!

Why does'n the needle catch the bobbin thread on Necchi BU Nova

Your hook is moving correctly. Not all machines do a continuous circle. If it's not catching the thread, the timing is off. It's a great machine, and worth every penny to have it serviced.

I have a Necchi 4900 and the thread catches on the bobbin holder , moves the bobbin holder out of place , james , have taken it out cleaned everthing under the bobbin and takewn the underneath cover

try changing the needle to see if that helps
if it doesn't,, then I suggest that the sewing machine be checked
at a repair shop to see if the bobbin case needs to be replaced and
to see if the hook and the hook race need to be replaced

Necchi 215A Sewing machine Could anyone help I have a Necchi 215A which will not catch teh bobbin thread, I have tried a new needle and checked the bobbin is loaded and fitted correctly. The needle passes...

Make sure the bobbin has a 3-5 inch thread tail
Then make sure the top thread has a 3-5 inch tail
Then hold the top thread tail with your fingers (away from the needle)
& use the hand wheel on the right hand side of the machine to slowly
Lower the needle in the bobbin area & see if the bobbin thread will pick

Bobbin thread will not pick up

Ensure the bobbin thread is mounted on correctly and using your right hand turn the gear that makes the needle go up and down until it catches the thread.
