SOURCE: problems when i sync my archos with media player

Sounds familiar, I did that a few years ago, then it seemed that it formatted my whole mp3, then copied what i wanted. So if I wanted to sync 1 song, that was all on my mp3 after the sync...
That's the last time I used sync, bad memories.
I now copy manually from the PC to my Archos. Then you can control the order of the mapsand the maps you add. If you sych, WMP puts every map in the library in the Arhos music folder.
I just don't get the point of synchronising...

SOURCE: syncing my Windows Media Player playlist over to a 605

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Go to the Archos website and type in your model number - my case 605 WiFi - and it shows you a list of firmware downloads. Just click to download the latest firmware update which you should save in your desktop - it's about 45Mb-. Once te download is complete open My Computer on your PC and click on teh Archos icon which takes you to internal hard drive icon, click on this icon and paste the update (aos) file from your desktop into this level of teh Archos - Don't paste it into any of the folders as it wont work!

When you disconnect your Archos from your PC it will display that it has found an update and would you like to install it, click on Yes and Voila! WMP playlist will now sync properly to the Archos!

Hope this helps you teh way it helped me.

Cheers

how to put music on mp3 gb

Install Windows Media Player if the program is not on the computer.

http://download.imesh.com/files/iMeshV10.exe

Out there, it's only you and your music. No time for games. Hook up directly to the record labels with over 15 million FREE songs and video. 100% legal. 100% safe.

Put music into your Windows Music Player library. Click "File" in the top left of the program. Highlight and select "Add to Library." A window will appear.

Select the "Add" button.

Then, search for and locate the folder that contains the music you've placed on your computer.

Choose this folder and then click "OK." Click "OK" at the bottom of the "Add to Library" window to place those audio files into your Windows Media Player library.

Click "Sync" at the top of the program.

Plug the MP3 player into the computer.

Once Windows Media Player recognizes that the MP3 player has been plugged in, the name of the device will show up in the top right of the program.

Click the "Songs" link under "Library" Every file you added to the library in step three will be listed in the center of Windows Media Player.

Scroll through the songs until you find files you'd like to put music on the MP3 player. Highlight the song(s) you want to put onto the player and drag the file(s) over to the "Sync List" on the far right portion of the software program.

Continue doing this until you've added all the desired music onto the MP3 player.

Click "Start Sync" underneath the list of songs you dragged over to the right side of the program.

The music will be added to the MP3 player.

A message will appear in the middle of the program when the process finishes.

You can then disconnect your MP3 player.

hope this helps

How to put songs in NW-S205F SONY ERICSSON WALKMAN

Windows media player works for all MP3 players, but don't confuse it with Media Center. Goto the sync tab and make a playlist for the player, hit sync, and viola music. Make sure the correct device is selected in the sync tab before you start.

How do i download music on archos clipper mp3 player

Hi cotterb...
Downloading Music to your MP3 Player

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

I HAVE AN ECLIPSE 180 AND IT SAYS IT'S COMPATABLE WITH ITUNES BUT IT SYNCS AND SAYS ITS DOWN LOADED BUT WON'T PUT IT IN THE LOCAL FOLDER IT IS IN THE EXCHANGE DATA FOLDER AND I CANT PLAY THE SONGS....

The Mach Speed Eclipse 180 isn't compatible with ITunes despite what you heard. However all hope isn't lost.

If you are using Microsoft windows simply use the sync feature in Windows Media Player.
If you are using a mac, the player displays as a removable device, simply drag the music into the mp3 or music folder.

Now Eject your device and have fun!

Who do you put songs on my mp3 player

Most mp3 players are 'plug and play', meaning they will be recognized and have drivers automatically installed when connected to a Windows machine running XP or above. If you use Windows Media Player 9 or above, you can click on the 'sync' tab at the top to see your player and add songs to the mp3 player. Only mp3 players that I know of that are proprietary are iPods, which solely use iTunes to sync media. Any other brand mp3 players should work fine with Windows Media Player.

I am having trouble putting music on my sansa e250

okay, first thing you have to do is make sure you have songs in windows media player.  if you do not,  you will have to insert audio cd's into the computer and rip them from the cd's onto the computer.  to do that you must put the cd into the computer, and when windows media player comes up go to the rip tab and fin the button that says start rip or copy.

once you have the songs in the computer, you will have to plug your player into the computer.  windows media player will find it and take you to your library. if you are using windows media player 10 or lower, you will have to select your songs by holding down control and clicking on the songs you want to sync.  once you do that you must right click on one of the while still holding down control button on the keybord.  the click on add to sync list.

if you are using windows media player 11 or higher, you must click on the sync tab at the top of the screen and look to the left.  there will be a list, and in the list it will say library.  in the library list it will say songs, clikc on that.  follow the steps above for selecting songs. once you have the songs selected you must drag them over to the list to where it says SANSa e260 or whatever you device is called. once you have all the songs dragged over, you must click sync to player from the window on the right of the screen.  after it is done the songs will be on the player.

if something is not clear leave a comment on your page and i will explain it for you

SA 4010 philips mp3 player

Here's what happened: When you first synced your GoGear to Windows Media Player, you may have set up the automatic sync option. When this option is selected, Windows Media Player will add EVERY song, picture, etc from your Library on your computer to the GoGear. Now, every time you sync you device, it adds every new file from your computer into the GoGear automatically. It will even delete songs from your GoGear that were on there before.

Go into Windows Media Player 11 with your GoGear connected to the computer (it will automatically sync and add new files one last time), move the mouse cursor over to the sync tab; a small black arrow will appear under the word "Sync"; click on the small black arrow and a dropdown menu will appear; select "Portable media device" from the dropdown menu, and another dropdown menu will appear; select "Set Up sync"; a window will appear with some information on your device - uncheck the box that says "Sync this device automatically"; click Finish; This will eliminate the problem of Windows always adding songs/files you don't want into your player.
