Hi, this is simple.. Your friend had put a caller tone from his service provider so that who ever calls him they can hear the tone set by him with his service provider instead of the ringing sound.this has nothing to do with the external phone ring styles. It can be requested to the service provider to activate in your profile as a caller tune. even you can request for a tone like some film songs and who ever is calling you they can hear this song instead of the traditional ring ring sound till you take up the call hope this may clear your dought. regards sreejith

I think maybe you are getting a little mixed up, your'e friend would have put an individual ring tone allocated to your number so that when it rings the song plays and he knows it is you, if your phone is capable then you can download any tune and allocate that tune to play when a specific person calls you as long as you have set it up that way, but you cannot force somebody elses phone to sound the tune you have allocated to their number, it's down to the tunes your friend has allocated to your phone number when you ring.

Here is the link to the user manual if you need it. http://www.motorola.com/Hellomoto/Master%20Lists/Product%20Manuals/Static%20Files/CA-EN/30277_E815EnglishUserGuide.pdf Unfortunately what callers hear is dependent on the phone they are calling from, not on your phone. You could concievably send them a mutimedia message when they call, but there is no way to automate this, and it would probably be too much trouble and expense to bother. Wait a year or two, and it may well be that manufacturers start including this feature - it would require a slight modification of the communications protocols on the cell networks, but it probably would be popular. Good idea. Hope this helps :)

Could that have been a "busy" tone?, instead of a ringtone.

How do i change the ringtone callers hear when they contact my htc wildfire

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

In most cases, the ring tone callers hear (incoming ring tone) is controlled by your cellular service provider.

Try this first: (On the Internet) Sign-in to your cellular account. On your account page, look for a link that directs you to your incoming ring tones (or similar). There, you can change your incoming ring tone.

If you're unable to do that, contact your cellular provider's Customer Support. They can assist you in changing your incoming ring tone.

How to set mp3 song from memory card as your caller tune

I think that there have been some mistake.....Caller Tune means the ring-tone which is hearing by someone who is calling you.So you cannot set the caller tune yourself, it is provided by the Sim service provider. Here However, Ring-Tone means the tone which you are hearing when someone is calling you.We can easily set this tone by using....Menu......>Profile...........>Ringing tone setting....Set the tone what you wish............................
