I have a lg vx 5200. i got it about a 1 and 1/2 ago. Just the other day my phone was all mmost dead and i was just going to look at a text message and then my phone shut off. Then i tried to start it up and i would light up and just show on its screen verizon wireless. That is all you see when i turn it on. I tried to charge the battery and it still didn't work. Tried a brand new battery and that didn't work either. I put my phone in the freezer for about 5 hours and still no change. So i am willing to try all most any thing just to get my phone working again. i dont care if i lose all my numbers and info. I was wondering if it was possible that their is cell phone virus through text. thank you and any tips will be great.
From what I have determined from tinkering with it, the problem is the Display connections. It appears that the connection sockets are simply weak and do bit "snap" a they should. My answer thus far is pretty easy. Open the phone, place the upper display side flat on a piece of cloth or something else thin but not course in order to prevent scuff marks. Now firmly hit/slap down on the back side of the face plate to insure it and the pieces inside it are in place and secure. works well for me, just ask the phone :-)

I just had the same problem - i had full battery when the screen went to the white verizon wireless, so it isn't a battery problem. it will turn off, then start to turn on but only show that white screen. i took it to the verizon store for tech help, and they said it is a software problem on the phone and i needed a new one...even thought it isn't under warranty anymore. it is free with warranty, but $50 without one. wish I could give more help...
I have a similar problem, i have a SGH G600 & my screen wont turn on ive put it in the freezer tryed charging it, hitting in etc. but all that happens is my keypad lights go on. :S

I put mine in the freezer for more than 10 minutes just turned it off and stuck it in there, turned it on and it works, dont know for how long tho

Sometimes the contacts on the back need cleaning. My phone wouldn't turn on for quite awhile until I just let it sit and cleaned the contacts with some water/soft cloth. Boom, started. How long will it stay on, I have no clue. The LG Envy 3 is notorious for shutting off at will even with the firmware upgrade/new battery. It is just a flawed design that hopefully LG has fixed in its other phones. For one, the stupidest design flaw is there is no battery cover.

I have the RAZOR and I heard someone say the same thing thats wrong with mine. But for me I was in Colorado and driving up a 14,005 foot mountain (above sealevel) and on the way done it shut off. So I waited about five minutes and then tried to turn it back on and i didnt work. Only the keyboard light came on. and I have AT&T.

In my experience, I have worked with NUMEROUS devices that regardless of the circumstance WILL NOT boot up. I am surprised you have taken such a journey to sort out or diagnose your device's issue.
Since you have already diagnosed the device with another battery(new), attempted multiple charges, and even placed the handset in a freezer for 5 hours (which is not recommended), I know the root cause is your J600 itself. Your old battery may be shorted, but if phone is not booting up with a brand-new charged battery then that is a good indication what the problem is.
At this point it's important to search for your carrier's nearest service/and repair location for further diagnosis and tech work. Good luck.

It sounds like possible water damage. On most phones you can remove the back cover and maybe the battery. If it is water damage you will see a red dot on the inside of the phone. I hope this is helpful, Let me know.

I also have this same problem and whenever I try to turn it on it will only stay on for about 30 sec then it will shut off. Also there is a orange light in the upper righ hand corner so im wondering if that means anything.
the thing i with my phone i had it for only a few moths.. i t would work but now it doesn't. when i try to charge it, i usually have to prop it up agnist something and place a heavy object upon it. and now when i try to turn on my phone, it SOMETIMES lights up and says "Verizon wirles" and then just goes blank. please some one help me,.. help me!!
I have a LG AX155 it was purchase in January and is not the end of Feburary so not quite a month. My phone battery was low and it shut down. I plugged it in to charge it and it never has powered back up. Any advise?

At first, my LG Envy would turn off by itself every now and again, then one day it just flashed the Verizon start up screen over and over... I'm looking at the stupid thing right now. I'm just gonna upgrade to the Omnia.
I have an LG Crappola - its been a horrible phone. Same exact problem, was fully charged, then just shuts off and now when I want to turn it back on, it just flashes the at&t logo every now and then.Â
