Easy Media Creator 7 is not supported on Vista. Easy Media Creator 9 and above are only supported. Anything lower may be able to go onto Vista, but Tech Support is not going to be able to assist you if you have problems.

My laptop turns on then freezes how do i fix this?

The music you have on your computer should have no bearing on your start up problem, this is more likely to be caused by a different area of the system such as a recently installed device or program.

Have your tried starting your computer in Safe Mode - press the F8 function key during the initial boot display and before Windows starts to load.

Further recovery actions will depend on which version of Windows you have installed (XP, Vista or 7).

If you can get into System Restore then you should try restoring the system settings back to a time before this problem started if possible.

If you can't use System Restore but can start in Safe Mode, then download a copy of CCleaner and use this to perform some house-keeping clean-up to get rid of temporary files, clean up registry entries etc as this may help.

If you can't start in Safe Mode then you will need to have access to your Windows installation media (CD or DVD depending on which version of Windows). For Vista and 7 you can try performing a Startup Repair - for XP you may have to do a Repair Install.

Recently bought & installed Roxio 2011 on Windows XP and it worked fine. Upgraded laptop to Windows 7. Roxio stopped working. Uninstalled all Roxio programs and reinstalled Roxio Creator 2011. No...

If you are getting the error at startup, roxio service might not started or disabled. What you can try to do is to enable all roxio service. refer to the steps below.
- click start > run - type services.msc - look for all roxio service i.e roxwatch.db - double click it then select the startup type to automatic - save the changes then restart computer

Two computers ago, and two operating systems ago I purchased MGI Photosuite 4 software. I have been using it for about 10 years. I have hundreds of collages saved that require the MGI software to read and...

Wndows installers have changed over the years, so it's not a surprise that the program couldn't be reinstalled. The Roxio Photosuite 8 is listed as a Win2000-XP product; so it may not be the correct release for Win7 either unless you use a workaround. Look here for the current Roxio slide show products: http://www.roxio.com/enu/store/photo.html?rTrack=m_pro_photo

Workarounds: go with a dual-boot or virtual computer system. Win7 Pro and Ultimate let you run a virtual XP computer for free (download two programs - the virtual PC software and then XP mode). All other choices will require a licensed version of XP installed either in the virtual computer program or in a second partition for dual-boot. I've found that files can not be transferred directly from XP mode to the real computer; they must be stored on external media. Then install your software as you would on any stand-alone computer.

I hope this helps.

Hi Name is Joe.

Resolution

Installing on a Windows Vista computer

Creator 2010 requires a minimum of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 for installation. You can either perform a Windows Update (recommended) or install Service Pack 1 for Vista here.

Installing on a Windows 7 computer

The issue might be caused by the Creator 2010 setup package running in Windows Vista compatibility mode on Windows 7. Please use the following steps to turn off Vista compatibility mode for the Creator 2010 setup package:
  1. Right-click on the setup package and choose Properties.

  2. Click on the Compatibility tab in the Properties window.

  3. In the Compatibility mode section, uncheck the box that is labeled Run the program in compatibility mode for Windows Vista.

  4. Click OK to save the changes.

  5. Re-run Creator 2010 the setup package.

When installing Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning in Vista message pops up saying the software is incompatible.

Yes, Roxio Easy CD is not compatible with Windows Vista. You either need to remove windows Vista and install Windows XP, or purchase the newest, latest copy of Roxio.

Installation and operating failures to save or burn.

When you install the program, it provides an Ignore button to avoid the conflict? It's strange that you must uninstall one software to use the other one.
