Ringing is assigned in system programming, very little chance it was changed by mistake. If Do-Not-Disturb was turned on, that could make a phone stop ringing. If it's just one line on a phone, maybe the system got put in night mode by mistake and night programming isn't identical to day ring. If you have direct access to the phone line check it for dial tone. Often virtual lines are used and you can't check for direct dial tone. On very rare occasion the ringer stops working, which can't be fixed.

Some places use the night mode feature to make certain phones ring in day mode, and others to ring in night mode. Not very likely but sometimes the mode gets switched at places who don't realize they have another mode, suddenly only 2 phones ring instead of ...5. Feature,80,Feature, is the code to switch back and forth on a Pro II, an Elite, and an IPK system. This would be done at the reception phone. These phones also work on several other systems so don't know if this works for you. Or maybe you set Do Not Disturb, which would keep your ringer off.
If you are using an Active Voice product (typical w/ NEC) you need to change the hours of operation on the voice mail system. "Night Mode" only changes the ringing characteristics of the phone system and where calls ring, not the greetings that play on the voice mail. The voice mail plays a particular greeting (Day/Night/Holiday) based on the time of day specified in the schedule. The system administrator for the voice mail would have to make this change.
Ok. You will have to find someone who has access to system manager, or has system manager rights for their mailbox.
They will then be able to select System Manager Options, then Change the Greetings. It will tell you which mode you are in, and ask you if you want to change to Holiday Mode. The responses are 1 for YES and 2 for NO. Say no to Holiday Mode, and then it will go thru Day Mode and then Night Mode, playing each one first then asking if you want to change it.
If you must call in a service order with your phone system vendor, make sure he/she not only assigns someone's box with manager access, but also creates a back-door box with manager access. This way you won't be messing with the original Manager Box. It gets expensive having NEC decipher the Manager's password if it gets changed and no one remembers it.
You would need to determine which NEC phone system you have and obtain a programming manual for the phone system. Your phone could be used on different NEC phone systems that program differently. Phones only have user guides that explain how to use the features.
You can set up your system with Night Ring and have different ringing rules when the system is put in night ring mode. It sounds like this is what you are looking for.
