Micro sd I could use a quick over view. I added a 2gb micro sd card.Do I have to add songs to this card as a seperate file? I would prefer that my player now shows itself as a 6gb player. Anyway to make this happen? Thanks for any help.

Inserting a microSD card into the Sansa does nto magically expand its internal memory. The card is a separate chunk of memory. You can move some songs from the internal memory to the card to free up some internal memory. Or you can add the new song to the card.

the music player on the phone. The application sometimes requires you to add the music to your library then your media player will play the songs.

place the blank card into the SanDisk player
go to SETTINGS press "enter"
go to SYSTEM SETTINGS press "enter
go to FORMAT press "enter"
it will ask "are you sure you want to format this device"?
select YES

dowload songs to REMOVABLE DISK drive F, at least that is what my PC assigned it to. You will overload your MP3 PLAYER if you continue to download to the Sanza Drive.

You need a suitable sd card card for your mobile phone.

You should try to copy your music/files to your computer and format your SD Card. After that, copy your music/files back to the SD Card.

The player can read the card, but it is not going to add more memory space to the player. The function of the card reader is to enable your player to play songs that you otherwise couldn't play because the hard drive is full.

I expected to find the new playlists on the SD card as a separate file to access and play. Instead the SD card songs show on up the Sansa menu simply added among the existing songs / artists stored in the Sansa. Its not a solution but they are there. Since using the SD card, my Sansa does databse refresh everytime it starts, whether SD card is in it or not.

I would run the Sansa Recovery Tool for the c200 series - it will erase/format all the songs without deleting system files - it is available from Sandisk's website.

Go to the knowledge base on the Sansa site and find this (chances are you have an SDHC card in an incompatible unit):
Sansa e200 - verify the version of the player.  To check, go to SETTINGS > INFO. 
              
For 01.xx.xx firmware (e200 version 1) - up to 2GB microSD cards 
For 03.xx.xx firmware (e200 version 2) - up to 16GB microSDHC cards 
NOTE: Firmware is not interchangeable. 

Sansa e200R - up to 2GB microSD cards 

Sansa e100 - supports SD cards up to 2GB 

If your music files are in a folder you cannot add them to play list, but if you have all your songs singly you can add them to your playlist, I had the same problem tonight with this phone, we added them individually no problem, this has worked but is a lenthly prosses, so far so good, not had a play about with them other than this, still to get them back as an album not yet done, Jackie
