Left speaker produces less treble than right.

I put my set of JBL Creature II back to work after quite a long time of being unused. I noticed that the left speaker (the one without controls) produces noticeably less treble than the right one. I.e. the produced sound does not include as many high frequencies as the sound produced by the right speaker. Does anyone have some hints of what this could be and how it can be fixed? I have tried using a different cable to connect the speakers to the PC as well as different music tracks to verify the problem.

SOURCE: JBL Creature 2.1 Left Speaker not working

Hiya

Too late to resolve the original poster's worries, I can assume, but I arrived here when searching on account of the same problem and resolved it. This is going to sound implausibly condescending, I'm afraid (and excuse th elack of technical terminology!)...

I couldn't get my left speaker to work exactly as above, but then looked carefully at the shape of the respective cables leading to the sub. You have to fit the triangle shape of the lead into the triangular shape of the hole. The speaker CAN be connected what *feels* like correctly, but is in fact connected incorrectly (ie, not all the way in).

This is more a problem with the left speaker than the right since it's a triangle and the right is a square, and can be a little fiddly.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem should probably take a quick moment just to check this isn't it! :)

Hey there, I have JLB Creature II speakers, that have been working fine for nearly a year. Until one day, when the treble's maximum volume became a lot lower than before. The bass still rocks it up like...

Hi Nikita,

The problem may be with the internal electronics of these speakers, especially the sub-system that controls the treble. If they are still under warranty, you should talk to the dealer. If not, you should contact a technician.

Hope that helps,
Regards,
Raspal

Channels

You've camped the speakers onto the right channel only. While the balance is on the left unhook one of your speakers and connect to the other channel it will come on the now you should have balanced speakers. Can you come back and tell me if that helped.
