I want to know what is the secondary voltage of transformer inside PC control panel ?

My PC control panel there is no power coming during checking of control board and verified that transformer is burnt so i don't know what is rating voltage of transformer secondary side because it is not written over the transformer so i can replace that on top priority basis. where i am living there is facilty of service i have checked by my self and found problem i need your guide.. more my e- mail id < I.U. You have not mentioned the details of the machine in question. All you need is to check on the LT ( low voltage side ) of the transformer to find the secondary voltage which will be about 20 to 30 % less than the DC voltage shown on the capacitor on the board. If there are more windings then you can get the primary rewound without any changes to the secondary that must help to solve.

SOURCE: LG Washer wont start, no power

Make sure there's power getting to the washer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the washer, if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

None of the indicators light up No beep sound is heard Some buttons do not light indicators None of the indicators light up:
1. Perform steps in Accessing & Removing the Electronic Assemblies, and visually check that the P11 connector is inserted all the way into the machine/motor control.
2. Visually check that the user interface assembly is properly inserted in the console assembly

How to test for bad transformer

  1. To test a transformer you need to know what type of transformer it is first. There is a step up transformer which steps the voltage up and a step down transformer which steps the voltage down.
  2. You will still test the transformers the same way for step up and step down transformers. If it is a step up transformer apply the incoming power to the transformer or plug it up. Now take your multimeter and place it on the AC volt scale and test the voltage if the voltage on the data plate says the transformer should step up to 220 volts and it doesn't then your transformer is bad.
  3. Now repeat the same steps for a step down transformer. Plug up the incoming or primary power and test voltage on the outcoming or secondary side the voltage should step down to the proper value. If you don't read any voltage on the secondary or outgoing side then the transformer is bad.
  4. To read the voltage place the two meter leads on the secondary side, or the side you will plug your equipment into. If the secondary side is an outlet then place the two meter leads into the top two slots in the plug and read voltage. You also want to make sure the incoming power is working as well. Otherwise you will be reading a bad reading every time.

Which the voltage of the transformer to be replaced

Your clock has a backup battery. Battery is for time backup only.

The clock and alarm memory will

be retained during a power

interruption. During battery

backup operation, the display

will not light up, but the correct
time will be maintained internally
The mains transformer inside it will be of 10.2vAC secondary to 120VAC primary. OK.

The stove will not turn on. Nothing lights up. Could this be the To8 control. I would hate buy this item and not fix the problem because it cost $129.00.

Have you verified that you have power coming in? If the oven light doesn't come on, check your breaker panel, then check the plug to make sure it wasn't burned out by a bad contact. (Even if the light works, it's possible the controller is powered by the opposite leg of the 240 VAC plug, so the plug could still be the problem).

If I had this situation, and didn't see any problems with the input wiring, I would unplug the stove and do continuity checks on the internal wiring, starting from the power cord, using my digital multimeter. In particular, I would check for continuity through the controller transformer.

If you do not find an open circuit or bad connection, the next step would be to inspect the controller for visible signs of failure. In particular, look at the electrolytic capacitors. (These are metal cylinders with plastic sleeves. The sleeves have a stripe with minus signs printed on it to indicate polarity, and have the size, temperature, and voltage rating printed on the remaining area of the sleeve.) If the capacitor sleeve shows discoloration from overheating or if the capacitor is bulging at the top or bottom or shows signs of leakage, replace it. You will need to know how to unsolder and solder parts on a printed circuit board, or know somebody who can do this. The new capacitor will probably cost less than $2. Electrolytic capacitors in the power supply filter the transformer voltage after it is converted to DC; the controller circuit won't work with unfiltered power. This is the most common failure in electronic circuits powered off the line.

If you don't see any visible problems, measure the voltage on the secondary side of the controller transformer to make sure it is working (be careful where you put your hands and feet - you need ths stove plugged in with the back removed to do this). You should measure somewhere between 5 and 24 Volts AC; I don't know what it should be for this particular model (it may be marked on the transformer). If you are confident that you can identify the filter capacitor and can safely put your voltmeter leads on it, you can measure AC voltage on it. If you have more than a couple of volts AC, the capacitor is probably going bad. The DC voltage on the capacitor should be roughly the same or up to 1.4 times higher than the transformer secondary's AC voltage.

If you have good power on the controller board, and it still doesn't work, then it's time to consider replacing it.

Hi i m sanjay i m having sony colour television kv-2782me7 i found some problem in power supply section i m geting low voltages frm secondary output i want 135 ,25 ,8 , and -33dc voltages bt i m geting...

there is a possibility of a shorted turn of the flyback transformer. To test. short B-E together on the horizontal output transistor and connect 60W globe across C-E. measure voltage across lamp - if it comes up to 135v then you have a short either in the horizontal circuit or secondary circuit off the flyback transformer or even the transformer itself.

Hello. Can anyone repair my Nakamichi 730 receiver. There is no sign of power when switched on. I am in UK

Though we have a limitaton with our forum I can try and help in advicing you how to go about in finding a solution if within our reach. First of all disconnect the set and open teh panel screw and the top cover. Look inside for the fuse. If you have a continuity tester, loop from the power cord to the fuse to the main switch and to the transformer. If this circuit is correct the transformer must pwoer on and now connect your power to an outlet, Please be ccareful not to touch the a/c power circuit. Now put your multimeter inthe a/c range and check for the secondary voltage if absent, test if the transformer is faulty by a continuity test. If teh secondary voltage is ok, the change your range to DC and test the voltage coming out of the receive. trace the volatge to the control panels , processor and the outputs. If you are able to do this well then you may get an idea of the fault or if the fault is silly it could be around this section. If not I think you will need some help to go about to check the control panels . Hope I could help? Good day

Whirlpool MH6151XHT-1 - No Power - Stumped

First change all the fuse and check whether it works or not, if it does not work than as per your finding the secondary transformer could be the issue, the secondary transformer tap down the voltage fro 230-240/110 to required control board voltage. the best thing if the unit is opened then the right problem can be found but as per your description either fuses are faulty or the secondary transformer.

Wall gas furnace

look inside the control panel of the heater. look for a 120 volt to 24 volt transformer.  There may be a fuse on the transformer secondary.  The thermostat switches a hot 24 volt wire so you won't find a common at the thermostat.
