Can not get iphone to work on home wifi

old plasma? what is full model name of TV?
i guess wifi fails on TV.
so is TV close to the router wrong at or 100ft away.
do all other things work on this router wifi
cell phones (standing near TV (distance matters)
or any laptops
or notebooks or pads?
test that first. if that fails the router is set up wrong
is it your router or the ISPs?

on my verizon cell phone, it has wifi option
i turn off 4g saves money doing that)
an then turn on wifi (home wifi) and set that up
if that works the router is ok
if still only TV fails. the TV may be too old, no tv model told
so if TV is very old, and does not do WPA2
and your router is set to WPA2 only (like mine is now)
then it can fail at the TV only.

here in your router do this, just 3 steps.
set the SSID first,, to like rover123 (a name you now, instantaly as yours)
easy no?
next set the encrytpion to what you TV can do
if TV is WPA1 only set router to, wpa1 /2 both. dual wpa mode.
do not use WEP it is not safe.
now set you Pass-phrase (pw)
to say this,. (not this , this its lastpass created do your own)
do not use dictionary PW.

connect the router with cat/5/6 cable to the TV Ethernet port assuming it has one. and bam fast easy connections
in TV you must tell it to use what ever you have now.
first. in INTERNET connects inside TV menus. smart screens.

passwords are case sensitive, so the problem is possibly just that you have capitals in the password and these are not specifies when entering the password into the iPhone

Try this ....when you scan via iphone for your wifi instead of inputting password...go to the right chevron ....click forget this network.....then rescan wifi....then rein put password....it should accept.if not password for router has been changed....this means you need to go to routers ip (google it) at wwww.mywifirouterlogin.net. And input the user:pass assigned for that make model.then you will see the routers assigned password as it may not be the network key that is on the back or bottom of router housing.

Hi @ Anonymous , please forget the WIFI Network on your Blackberry and do another scan, it will ask you to enter your WIFI password again. See if it works.

just confirm if the password you have for internet is correct or not.
Now do the manual security settings in your phone same as of router. Like security type & password both.
check for the phone wi-fi, and use it.

I have to assume that you have turned on WiFi in your iPhone. If you have made your router's SSID hidden, please un-hide and try again.

Try disabling the password temporarily to be sure you can make the connection.
When you reenable, be sure you enter that long string of letters and numbers into the iPhone as the key (and not the passphrase).

Start -> Run -> type 'cmd' and press ENTER.
Enter 'ipconfig' and press ENTER.
Look for a line like:
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1
Open your web-browser.
Enter: http://192.168.2.1
Login to the web-interface on your router
(see the router's manual for the ID/password to use for login)
and then click the 'Wireless' button.
Select a 'SSID', of your own choice.
Configure your iPhone to connect to that 'SSID'.
