SOURCE: GE WJSE3110A washer, won't drain

On a scale of 1 -10, I'd rate this about a 3.5 in difficulty.
Un plug machine.
Use a putty knife to push the clips in at the seam of the front panel and the washer's top, about two inches in from each side to allow you to pull the front panel forward and then lift it off the bottom pegs.
If you took off that drain hose, you shouldn't have any water left in the machine, so take the two squeeze hose clamps off the pump hoses, the electrical wires off the pump, and the two 3/8 size bolts holding the pump to the washer's base.
Now check to see if the pump is plugged or obstructed with an object. Replace pump with cleaned out or new pump as necessary.

SOURCE: washer wil not spin or drain out after cycle completed

sounds like drain is plugged. this is a fairly easy fix,and you actually get paid to do it. unscrew the bottom panel of your washer should be 3 screws on the very bottom then you will see a white plug that is about 2 1/2" unscrew it (make sure you have a bowl under it water will leak ) and pull it out. this is where you get paid you will find all kinds of change and junk just clean it out reinstall and your clothes will be a lot drier after the spin cycle

You might have a faulty lid switch mechanism or trash in the pump or both. MANUAL

Electrolux front load washing machine ew10001 spin cycle slow on "SPIN" setting runs fine through regular wash setting? any ideas?

Hello jamespeattie - Does the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose may be kinked or the drain in the house is clogged. Once you have confirmed and cleaned the hose and if issue continues contact a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may possibly have a faulty pump or control board.

My GE washing machine just buzzes instead of filling with water, spin and agitate work fine.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Providing that the water supply is OK with no kinks or squashed hoses and the taps are fully turned on, this is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call to confirm that it is not something else ;-0(
Good luck,

GE Profile model WPRE6100 only spins slow....

Hello,

There are several reasons that a washing machine won't drain or spin. The cause could be something as easy as a clog or something difficult that will need a licensed repairman. Start with the simplest possible cause and work down to the more difficult causes.

INSTRUCTION BELOW
  • A washing machine won't spin if the water can't drain. Check hoses for any kinks or clogs that may prevent the water from draining. If a hose has kinks, try to straighten out the kinked hose. If it can't be straighten sufficiently, replace the hose. If hoses are not kinked, check for clogged hoses. This can be done by using the screwdrivers to remove the hoses and looking for clogs or running a water hose through the clogged hose to remove the clog. Use the rags and bucket to clean up the water that comes out of the hoses when they are disconnected. Once the clog is cleared, put the drain hose back into place. The washer should drain and spin now if a clogged or kinked hose was the problem.
  • 2 If the washer still won't drain or spin, check to see if the lid is not closing all the way or if the lid switch is not clicking into place. Close the lid and make sure that it closes all the way down. When the lid closes, the lid switch should click. If there is no clicking sound, then the switch may need to be replaced. Follow manufacturer's directions for replacing the switch. If the lid does not close all the way, visually check for signs that the lid is bent. If bent, try to bend it back into place.
  • 3 Loose or broken belts could also prevent a washing machine from draining or spinning. Pull the washer away from the wall and, using the screwdrivers and wrenches, remove the back panel. Using the flashlight, visually check for any broken or loose belts. Replace any broken or loose belts. Although replacing washing machine belts is difficult, anyone who has replaced belts on a car, lawn mower or even a bicycle chain should be able to accomplish the task.
  • 4 Another possibility for a washing machine to not spin or drain is the pump. With the back panel still off the washer, check the pump with the voltmeter to ensure that the pump is getting power. If the washer is getting power, turn on the washer and listen to find out if the pump is running but the water is still not draining. It may be necessary to remove the pump and clean it or to replace the pump with a new one. Once the pump is replaced, turn on the washer to determine if it will now drain and spin.
  • 5 If all of the above steps fail to produce a washing machine that drains or spins, then it is time to call a professional repairman. Use the screwdrivers and wrenches to replace the panel on the washer and push it back against the wall

  • thanks and good luck.

Our GE Profile Deluxe washer is not draining

Your post says "drain hose is kinked". I assume you meant NOT kinked. You didn't leave a model # so it's difficult to advise. If it's a top loader set it to spin and listen for the drain pump sound. If you hear just a dull hum it's probably stuck with something in it.
Use a shop vac to get the water out. Pull the front off and remove the hoses from the pump. Look into the inlet and you'll see the object.

    Drain hose not working

You simply have to check your drain hose and exit filter; the problem is there. When yr machine does not drain it is surely the exit filter. Refer to your user manual.
