Wireless can't turn on for Compaq Presario X1000

This has been answered before but just under the wireless symbol on the front, there is a small switch that turns the wireless card on and off. A LED will turn blue when its on.

There is a button at the front. When the system is ready, you press it and a little blue light should come on. Good luck.

reinstall the drivers for it

Same thing happened to mine. I took it to a tech to fix it.

if u turn on the wireless button and there is a wireless connection somwhere in range then you will be able to connect to it with out the button on then you will need to connect a wirteless device such as a wireless usb device that is what i am running on right now as i type

yes. when the switch is turned on it activates the built in wireless card in your laptop. you can then connect to a wireless router

It may be the problem with driver. Your OS may not contain the proper driver.Like in windows service pack 1 do not recognise some camcorders. either upgarde to service pack 2 or download proper driver from manufacturers site
