Use your bb desktop software to make a backup onto your PC. It will make 2 files, with today's date, one a .cab which contains media files (eg photos you took) and the other, an .ipd contains encapsulated application data.
The contents of email are in in the .ipd file, in bare text html format. Suggest taking a copy of the .ipd file first, then open the copy in your favourite text editor. Notepad is OK; I use EditPad Lite. Then do a text search for "<html" (without the trailing ">") to find the first email message. You can copy the html between <html ...> and </html>, paste into a new text file, edit if you want, and save as SomeFileName.html, then open in your browser to see it.
Between each email is some binary info that would be used by the blackberry. Don't know how to decode this.
Some emails are text only. SMS messages are in there too - can search for the text you know is in one of them, to find them all together, the message itself is bare text.
