Samsung SGH L 170 cannot detect memory card

First, try using a known working memory card into your Samsung phone. Or, insert the undetected memory card into another phone so that you could isolate the problem.

If the phone did not detect the known working memory card, then, you need to contact the manufacturer of the phone for repair.

There's a possibility that the memory card slot of your phone is no longer working correctly or they just need to replace some components.

Good luck and have a great day!

I bought 2 and after inserting them, my phone doesn't acknowledge they are in there. I went to Verizon and the rep put his in my phone and it immediatly showed a little icon that the memory card was in...

No cards don`t have to be activated. You phone is probably an older model and can only reconized memory card lower than 2 gb (check your phone manual) or if the phone is a new version, then probably the card slot within the phone is not working. I would sugest you go back to verison and have them check your phone card slot.

There is a proplem in my software . when i use my camera it say no ( memory card ) every time .

There's a possibility that your phone cannot detect the memory card. You need to do some troubleshooting to isolate the problem.

1. Remove the memory card from your problem phone and insert it into another phone so that you could see if the memory card is the problem.

2. Try another memory card to the problem phone.

If same problem occur though you're using a known working memory card, then it could be the memory card slot is bad or the program could be corrupted that's why you are getting that error message.

You may need to contact the manufacturer for repair if the memory card is NOT the problem.

Thank you!
