Maybe that is acting as a boot drive. If you do not need it as a boot drive, consider formatting the drive.

How do I bypass the password for windows 7 ultimate ?

if you are in win 7, go to control panel and look for user accounts. If you logged in as an administrator, you should be able to change the password there, if you know the origanal pw. If you are talking about the boot up password, that has to be cleared by changing the pin block on the mother board it self, but by doing so, it will reset the boot menu back to default.

Hello i m facing some problem i cant boot my windows through usb drive i will explain the process i have did to boot from usb drive. Before that i will give some information about my system please note...

Most of those Windows to USB applications are for creating an Windows USB installation, not actually installing an operational OS on the USB. Does that make sense?

You would have to run the setup and choose the drive to where to install the OS. This would mean you would have to do it from a CD/DVD disc or have two USB drives, but this may cause a conflict.

Reinstalling windows xp AFTER INSTALLING WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE on a dell latitude d600

see if there is a factory restore option for this computer, normally that would be tapping the f11 key during the boot process, most dells come with a boot partition now tha will recover the laptop to factory state

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. I bought 32GB Kingston Datatraveler G3.when plugged in its is detected as a AB usb 2.0 usb device. windows says it needs formatting, (raw format) can not format it even using...

click start control panel administrative tools computer management disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes

automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start

you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive

I found that you get best results by ticking one box then returning after it has finished then tick the other box

then you restore it to its default status

Right click on usb drive select properties you will have an array of options

Select the hardware option then select your drive properties policies

restore defaults

In XP

Right click on your drive select properties then on customize restore Default in W 7

hope this helps

Formatted acer aspire 5736z with windows 7 ultimate and finished but operating system not loading and takes me to recovery screen tried recovery but still takes me there again and again, tried to boot...

Please take a close look at the disk you are using to install "Windows 7 Ultimate". It is definitely a "Recovery Disk" for Windows 7 Ultimate. You cannot install Windows 7 with a recovery disk. Recovery disk always is used to repair corrupt or damaged files of Windows OS and requires that the Operating System is already installed. You need a "Windows 7 Ultimate" Installation disk to install Windows not a recovery disk for Windows.

MY 531S WILL NOT TAKE THE BOOT INTO WINDOWS 7 NEW INSTALL. I PRESS ANY KEY BUT GOES INTO WHICH WINDOWS DO YOU WANT OR F8? HOW CAN I RAW INSTALL NEW WINDOWS 7 I BOUGHT?

Press F8 many times. You start the tapping of F8 even before the computer starts. The boot menu will come. Its a little tricky. Keep trying. :)
