Timing Problem with Singer Futura 150

Had it fixed 1 month ago. This is a new machine. Needs another timing adjustment now. Needle hits bobbin casing. There's no room for needle to make its cycle. I would like to learn how to fix the problem myself.

I think singertexas.com has a manual that can help with this do it yourself repair. Though doing this can void your warranty.

I have a Futuraâ„¢ XL-580 Sewing and Embroidery Machine. My top thread as it comes down and go around the bobbin is catching on the bottom side of the needle plate and the bobbin case.

All problems like that are usually caused by two reasons

Incorrect threading
or
Incorrect tension

As an outside reason it can be incorrect timing.

Bobbin thread not engaging with top needle thred

Be sure to try a brand new needle. Otherwise, it's possible the machine is slightly out of time. Search for "sewing machine timing" or take it for service.

Needle is hitting the metal under the bobbin carriage and machine won't pick up bobbin thread. Needle is in correctly.

First, try a brand new needle. If it was damaged by the previous activity, then it could be causing both problems.

Singer CE250 Futura problems with timing and bird nesting

Needle could be loose or bended or use another size. Put the needle all the way out and the insert a new one inside making sure is the right way in (flat part hasto be looking oposite of you).

another thing is that the Tension could be too tight.

Last, Rethread the machine with another thread to make sure is good.

Hope it helps

Top thread not looping the bobbin thread

In your case, I believe that the needle height is out of adjustment, and it's an easy fix. Insert a #14 needle, and make sure that it is ALL the way up in the clamp. You can determine that by looking at the shaft right above the clamp; the needle end should be resting against what looks like a grey bar.

Next, take 10 pennies and stack them on the needle plate. Your machine's needle should JUST be resting under the needle; it should be a tight fit. If it's off just a "smudge," leave it alone. If it isn't, take the cover off the needle area, and locate two Allen screws on the needle shaft. The one that adjusts needle height is the bottom one, and you should only loosen by about 1/2 turn -- not take it off. Adjust to the 10 penny standard, then make sure that the eye is exactly to the font, then tighten.

Needle keeps hitting bobbin case on my Singer CE 100 Futura, it is now jammed completely. Why is this?

either your bobbin case isnt installed right or the machine's timing is messed up try to get needle loose or completly out is preferred then try turning it and see if it comes unjammed if so take your bobbin case out and reinstall it making sure it is in the fit right if this dont solve it then you need to get timing set (not recommended to do at home get pro to do it ) hope this helps you
