Sharp AL 1631 Blank copies with no error message. I’m not familiar with this model. I haven’t seen the machine yet but I’m hoping it’s the corona wire. Any other advice would be helpful. Thank You Jack

When scan unit doesn`t move you have (L1-from left to right)and (L3-from right to left)code or blank copy (white).first must check scan uniy lock under the scan unit-then service 2 plates that scan moves on it.
Was the copier working fine before you changed the cartridge? If so I think your cartridge is the problem. If it started making blank copies right after you changed it. If this is not the case the first thing I would say is it is not the drum. Try opening and closing the right side door. There are contacts in the door that will cause blank copies. I have had several customers do this and it fixed the problem. You can also try pulling out the toner and then pull the drum unit partially out and re-seat it. Then re-install the toner.
Good Luck
You can reset this indicator by pressing these keys in sequence: Press "C" then press "Exposure Mode" then "C" again then "Exposure Mode" again. Note that the Exposure Mode key is the far left key on the panel. One you press these 4 keys in sequence the display should go blank. Then key in 24 as if to make 24 copies. Then press Print (Green Button) Then key in 7 as if to make 7 copies. Press print again. You should now get flashing 000. Turn machine off then back on and the light should be gone. Here it is in a short version: C, far left, C, far left, 24, print, 7, print, then power off and back on.
H3 is a heater/fuser problem. Try to reset it by SIM 14. Press Clear , auto exposure, Clear and auto exposure and press copy key. check if H3 has been reset and LED is back to "00".
I tried changing the the size to a reduction. It took the sheet from the top and copied it at a reduced size with no problem. Then I switched back to normal size and it worked just fine. I would have never thought to try a different size without your suggestion. Thanks for the help
Randy
Sometimes the originals hesitate using the document feeder, which can cause the problem you are describing. Do you get the same rsults if you lay the original on the glass?
