Manual color registration in Service Mode on CL7200 printer

How can I manually adjust color registration in service mode on my CL7200 printer. Auto color registration keeps failing and the factory test pattern bars show registration out approximately 1mm.

Color calibrate registration cl7200

Never ever do a memory clear all on a color unit. As you discovered it changes all the color registration values. This is a very, very complicated adjustment and very time consuming. I am a color expert and have been for 25 years now. Unless youre a trained tech youll never figure it out. spend 120 bucks and call a technician sorry..

Color registration off

on the control panel, select "additional functions", then press "2" and "8" at the same time, and then press "additional functions" again. You should see a white screen with the words, copier, feeder, etc. Press "additional fuctions" and then press the "2" key. This will take you into level 2 of service mode. On the screen, select "copier", then "function", then "clear", and then select "reg clear", and then press "ok" in the lower left of the touchscreen. Press "reset" multiple times to get back out of service mode. Turn the machine off, and then back on. Press additional functions and go to "adjustment and maintenance". Select "auto gradation" and perform a "quick" adjust, and then a "full" adjust. This should bring your registration back. If you keep experiencing the problem, the secondary transfer roller located just before the fixing assy/fuser unit on the left side drawer that pulls out could have build-up in the bushings, or the transfer belt and drive rollers could be causing the problem too. Hope this helps.

My Ricoh 7300 is printing but all the color are not lining up

Try running auto color registration adj from user tools/menu(try it a couple times)
If this doesnt clear it up you will need to have a transfer belt and or transfer belt assy replaced

Ricoh service mode to reset

This is the solution from Ricoh website:

Please press Menu. Then scroll to Maintenance and press Enter. Scroll to Color Regist and press Enter. Scroll to Color Regist Auto Adjust and then press Enter to Auto adjust. If after completing the procedure the error persists, please contact your service representative for support.

I'm told this works as well...
On the main board put dip switch 101-1 on and then off and then enter 97 and press the aps key. Then power cycle the printer.

With my experience, it's not the registration nor calibration problem, it's either transfer belt is bad or inside the transfer belt is dirty or dusty as well as transfer rollers. here is what I do first
take the transfer belt unit out of the machine, take transfer belt out from the unit, clean inside of transfer belt with damp cloth and rubbing alch. clean all rollers and reinstall.
What it is if the transfer belt and transfer rollers are dirty and dusty, it slips and make it like it's not align. I think most of time it fix the problem with my exp. if not replace new transfer belt
