SOURCE: F9-4 when cleaning upper oven

its related to the self clean ltach motr, if you pull hte unit out and drop teh rear panel, approx halh way down on theright side( when behind unit) thers asmall lock mechinisn mavbe 1.5 round, with a connecting rod 2 wires and a witch, well that motor sometimes as it heats looses connection with the switch. the switch is monitoring door positoin so if it loses contact it thinks the door is open and will trigger a code. the entire latch is replacabel (FRont to back comesa sone assy latch motor swittch and rod. 2 wires connect it and 2 screws(by front latch secure it. if youtry to replaceit your self i giveyou the heads up to lie a yard stick on top of latch before removing old latch (thos will keep the insulation in place) andthen when installe ing new latch also use hte ayrd stick ontop to keep insulation inplace!!!!!

Hello bigboy1666,
Welcome to Fixya,

You said, Oven does not show any displace and does not work. When you try to turn on the top oven, the displace shows h3 132 and the clock shows 12:00 .
You try to turn the upper and lower oven, none of them work. The light in the oven comes on okay.

Lets try to reset the system.
trun off the range.
Now trhow the breaker in the electric box off for 5 minutes.
after waiting 5 minutes turn the power on and try the range!
Let me know how she works.

Huuum at your service.

Replace upper coil by removing, and take it to applance parts dept and have them order a new coil(check coil by using a test meter look for low ohms.

Dacor bottom oven not heating

I have a DACOR double electric oven model ECD230SCH. the top oven lower element went out 1 and 1/2 years ago, but the top element broiler works. Yesterday the bottom oven did the same thing- bottom element not working along with convection. Pulled off doors and cut breaker. Checked thermal switch on top off oven- closed good. Pull out element and Ohm'ed out- good. Now pulled over and out oven top panel to get to the control boards. Found a nice set of schematics for the over control boards and electronics. Sat down and pin-pointed both relays that supply power to upper and lower oven "lower" heating elements. these are on 2 different boards- upper over relays on bigger board on the left with the transformer. Lower oven on the right smaller board. Hardest pain in the rear was just getting the little plastic stand offs to push back through the board to get it off. Finally got it off and inspected board. Low and behold the relay I pin-pointed had a burn/open connection on the solder joint. Re-soldered tested oven and lower oven lower heat element works now! Went to the next board and got that off and same exact problem on the rely for the top oven lower element. Re-solder and test- good!! Put everything together and ran over to 350 on top and lower and back to normal. Wife very happy she did not have to pay a repair man big bucks to swap out the control boards- would have had to replace both.

I have a degree in electronic technology so as a technician for many years did low and high voltage component level repairs. But pretty easy and you can visually see the open solder joint on the back of the board at the relay leg.

The lower element in my Admiral Sentry stove is not working. there is no layout for fuses so not sure what fuse needs replaced

It is not a fuse issue. Turn off the power to the oven. Remove the screws from the lower element. Pull the element out carefully. DIsconnect the wires. Take a volt/ohm meter set for ohms or continuity. Touch the 2 leads from the meter to the 2 element wire terminals. If you get no reading, replace the element with a new element.
If you do get a reading reinstall the element and replace the oven control.

Install new element in upper oven lower element

unplug unit from 240volt outlet or if hardwired shut off circuit breaker at house panel, remove 2 screws at where element leads enter oven cavity and pull out element, you may have 2 terminal screws to remove electrical connections from element if it doesn't plug-in, then reverse procedure and its done

Bottom Baking element not working

If all your connections are solid then your controller is defective. Did you get any faults before changing the element? Does the broil (one at the top of the oven) work?

Electric Oven doen't heat

cdkd, there should be a TC0, on the back of the oven. Thermal cut out. You want to check to see if it is open. You will have to pull the oven out enough that you can remove the back panel cover and check it. The lower and upper oven should have one. It's a very cheap part to replace. If this TCO fails, no heat. Check this first before buying a new board. Catriver..post back.
