Canon Pixma iP1500 printer indicates paper jam

My Canon Pixma iP1500 printer indicates a paper jam, although there is no paper or apparent jam. Pressing the resume button does nothing, nor does turning the printer off and on. Can you help me?

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button. (On the X83, press the Select button.)
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

Ip1500 showingjam when there is no jam

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Paper jam showing when no paper in the printer

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

Keep getting a service error 5100 notice

Hi,

The unit may have a paper jam or stuck object inside, if you have experience a paper jam error before, check the printer for any object or paper stuck inside, clean roller.

Some error like this can be a problem on the feeder sensor and by this time you may need to replace and repair the unit.

Hope this initial info helps

Pixma ip1500 permanent paper jam-with video showing

the problem is with the software of your printer.. here's what you should do.. install back your printer, and then turn on your computer.. press ctrl + shift + escape.. this will open the task manager.. on the task manager, look for spool.exe and end its process... afterwards, try to reboot your computer.. i just hope this will work.. and please don't disassemble your printer again.... if this won't work, send your printer back to the manufacturer and they will have it fixed for you.. ok?

Canon Pixma Printer

Unload all paper. Examine the feed track for any obstruction- paper fragment - cookie crumbs. Take a vacuum nozzle to it and give it a good suck out. Now feed a heavy weight paper/thin card through. Did it do the trick?
