install it correctly using the top strap going through the back of the seat to the anchor point on the parcel shelf or onto the floor next apply the car seat belt through the points of the seat and pull the seat belt up tight
the child is held in place by the seat harness not the car harness that is there to fix the seat

NO! Please do not put your child in the front seat in any vehicle if your car has a back seat. The manufacturer will tell you this in your owners manual and on the sticker inside the door. A child seat in the front seat will not shut off the air bag. Depending on your model for that year, you may or may not have a keyslot on the dash to shut the passengers side airbag off. If you don't have it, please, please don't put your child in the front seat.

I think that the discovery 102 (now discontinued) fits on both the seat tube (where the seat post goes into) and the back seat stays. (near where the childs feet rest)

To attach the Baby Trend Infant Car Seat, recline
the seat all the way back.
• Position the Infant Car Seat, facing toward the
rear of the jogger, so that the seat shell goes
into the Child Tray and latches into place.

Unless they were removed completely from the car they are there just put you hand between the back of the seat and the seat part of the seat and pull up. the seat part should raise up and the seat belt should be buried under there the tend to slip un the seat for some reason.
