SOURCE: vacuum hose replace electrolux how to

Replacing the hose is probably going to be the next step. Heres the thing.... Even though the hoses are a bit pricey- I have found that if youy try to cut a couple feet off the hose you will tick of your wife. I am so used to the length on mine that if I lost a foot off it, I dont know how I would reach behind the couch.... Except to have my hubby install another ACV outlet.... Plus air leaks and crackages happen when you try to shorten the hose...... Good Luck!

SOURCE: electrolux power nozzle not working

FIRST OFF EACH OF YOU HAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MACHINE. ESPECIALLY THE OXYGEN WHICH IS MADE BY THE "NEW" ELECTROLUX. THE OTHER TWO ARE MADE BY THE "OLD" ELECTROLUX WHICH IN NOW CALLED AERUS. THE ADVICE WITH THE GUARDIAN TO GET IT SERVICED BY THE DEALER SINCE THE POWER NOZZLE IS PROBABLY STILL UNDER WARRANTY IS A GOOD IDEA. (THE 25 YR. WARRANTY DOESN'T APPLY TO THE WHOLE MACHINE SO YOU HAVE TO READ CAREFULLY WHATS COVERED. THE MAIN MOTOR DEFINITELY IS.)
ASIDE FROM ALL THAT
DID ANY OF YOU HIT THE RESET BUTTON ON TOP OF THE POWER HEAD?!

Hi, I have an Electrolux Ambassador and the other day I was vacuuming a fringe carpet and the fringe made the Electrolux stop (has happened before) and when I pressed the reset button, the motor is on but the wheel does not spin. Any suggestions?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. There are 2 possibilities that could be happening. Either the belt is broken of which you can replace the belt @ least one a year for proper maintenance or there may be a reset for the vacuum in case you get something caught in the brushroll section of the vacuum. Check both of those items and it should work unless you have a motor burn out – if you did there would be a burning smell. Feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

SOURCE: Electrolux Renaissance power nozzle turning on and off, brass pins hot

The deal with the Renny is that it runs off of circuit boards. Usually the problem of the main motor shutting on and off is caused by one of the Triac boards located inside the canister. Another problem could be the thermostat wire located on the inside of your motor itself. It's almost never the thermostat, so the triac board is most likely the issue.

As far as your power nozzle goes, the head eminating from the swivel body is in most cases due to an older design of the power nozzle. I would suggest investing in a new elbow assembly that includes a new swivel body as well as newer style of wiring that is proved to reduce arcing and heat production within the power nozzle.

In some cases, fixing the power nozzle will fix the problems you are experienceing with the main motor as the arcing happening in the power nozzle can in fact turn off your machine. So investing in a new elbow assembly for your power nozzle could in fact solve the problem in its entirety.

Following old directions found online I opened an Electrolux Ambassador III to fix the cord winder. When reassembling, I found a loose white wire. Where should it be reconnected?

A white wire is part of the power wiring (neutral), but if the machine runs ok, it may be a left-over from previous work or original manufacturing. If the machine does not run now, then look obvious bare connectors to reinstall it. Hope this helps!

The Power carpet sweep attatchment when plugged in runs on and off intermittitly. (Cuts on and off) It has barely been used What is wrong I don't see any loose wires

Try pushing into valve just a little more. If that doesn't solve the problem, it's probably a loose wire in the hose, wands or power nozzle. Could be the circuit breaker in the power nozzle. Contact your installer or a local vacuum cleaner repair center.
