Download the BIOS upgrade and device drivers from the Acer WEB site. Makesure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require thatmatches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link toget to the Acer support: -

You have to probably remove all the screws under the computer. remove the hdd memory and etc. The next part will be to check near the keyboard if there is something to pull out, underneath that there will be more screws to pull out and you will the cmos battery.

You need to reset your BIOS. open your CPU you should be able to see a "Battery" (its shape like battery watch , looks like a silver coin)

remove it for 5 minutes. unplug the power cord of your computer.

after 5 minutes insert the battery again and turn your computer ON.

Try start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, OR System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions. This should get you back.

remove the battery from the laptop and keep out for 10 minutes and shake the battery with hand and insert it again.

On the back of the laptop remove the battery and any screws under it, if you look just above the keyboard theres a seperate peice of plastic now remove any screws on the back that could potentially screw into it and remove it (theres normally clips aswell and sometimes you have to slide it either left or right first. Then theres normally a screw holding the keyboard in normally locted in the centre and 'sunk-in' deeper than the rest of them remove that and the keyboard should lift up, careful its still attatched via a zif connector, remove this by pulling up the little tags at the edges of the connector pulling it out (should come out easily) then you looking for either a single cell battery or a black thing in the shape of a battery with a black and a red wire coming out of it.

first of all, remove the power connector and the battery before u do anything on that laptop.

remove the 3 screws in the middle cover. remove that middlecover by putting a screwdriver in one of those holes which are covering the displaybrackets. pull it up slowly. same thing goes for the opposite side.

there you go remove the 2 screws which are holding the keyboard and the cable to the mainboard.
