Tried to do a rinse cycle but no water coming out so tried to take brew unit out to clean and brush out but its stuck.... can you take it out mid rinse cycle. It seems to be locked in but we have had it out to clean before heaps of times...
Try this.
You can enter a sort of diagnostic menu by pressing I believe the bypass doser and the medium coffee button together while you turn the machine on.
I forget which now, but one of the buttons will spin the brew unit one way, and another button will spin the brew unit the other way. The third button will activate the doser which makes a very LOUD clack noise.
You should be able to "wind" the brew unit manually this way in order to release it.
Good Luck.
Follow up :
Sorry, the button to press is Hot Water and Large Coffee while turning on the unit.
A version code should display on the screen, then let go of the buttons.
The screen will show some diagnostic information. Various numbers will appear and go out depending on which microswitches are activated.
small coffee : activate brew unit motor "forward"
medium coffee : activate brew unit motor "backwards"
large coffee : activate grinder
bypass doser : activate doser flap
Good Luck.

The machine was stuck in rinse and kept rinsing and rinsing ... Unfortunately, we turned it off and on a few times and the brew group jammed. We fixed the brew group but when we turn it on, the machine will not cycle, so we cannot put the brew group back in. We tried inserting the piece of cardboard to trick the machine into thinking it has a brew group but when we turn the machine back on it still does not recycle and it still says rinsing cycle but it does not rinse. It does nothing but sit there saying rinsing cycle.
