Not sure what TPS button dose on my Panasonic RX 5150

Open the printer cover.From right side there is a plastic rod.It's connect to door sensor.This plastic rod often breaks from top.Look that and if it's broke try to fix it with glue or something else.

Make sure the switch on the back is on the correct power setting. The cord is AC and the input is DC. On batteries, switch it to DC and use tinfoil or copper wire on the left top U shaped + battery receptor. on mine, it didnt connect with batteries without metal there

you mean to record?first,you must connect the other unit (if you are using two cassette)by using rca plug or earphone plugs.insert the plugs to audio in or aux(this is the unit that will record).if the other unit doesn't have the output audio,use the earphone out instead.time to record.the recorder must be set to tape/aux,(if you are using a unit with radio setting).then,push the play and record button at the same time.don't forget to put in the blank tape ok.then push play to the unit that you want to be recorded.the square symbol is for stop.the arrows pointing left ,rewind.pointing right, forward.the big arrow pointing right is the play and the button next to it is the record button.

I had this same problem when i removed the radio to install a ipod jack. The problem is the radio, ac controls, and display is all attached to a pressure button in the rear of the radio.the button has a screw head and a black sleeve covering the rest of the button. when u put the radio back in make sure u have firm pressure when putting back the screws. it would help to have someone push while u tighten.Make sure u put back the side screw on the left side of the radio (a little hard to get to). the pressure button is also adjustable all u need is a phillips. IF THE SCREW IS NOT COMMPRESSED FAR ENOUGH YOU WILL NOT HAVE CONTROL OF THE RADIO,AC, AND DISPLAY

Yes i had the same problem ...
1.Put the cassette as far as it allows... and move the cassette left and right slightly twisting , and you will activate the mechanism
2.SOON the mechanism gets fully out immediately!!!! remove the battery
3.CLEAN contacts (I'm looking right now on the internet to find where the hell sensors-contacts are)
4.PREY that it works :-)
