Why does my Nikon Coolpix L820 when during making a video it will sometimes Muffle my voice during a short video or long video?

The manual says that the stereo microphones are either side at the rear of the flash. Make sure nothing is near them. It also says that it can be affected if the flash is raised. It sounds like a firmware issue, and it is a pity there is no external mic jack socket.

Why mic sound muffled

Depends on what you mean by "muffled". Internal microphones and standard external ones are not high quality mics, but that sound I would describe more as fuzzy. So if you could be a little more descriptive I could help further.

HI, i have had my radio for a couple years know. I just installed it into a new truck i purchased. People can hear me when i key the mic up and the meter gauge is jumping when they are talking back. but i...

Hello,
Well there are a couple things that could cause this.
  1. First check your RF gain knob and turn it all the way to the right. It could have made its way turned to the left during the move.
  2. The next thing you want to do is try a different mic. On these CB's the transmit is wired separate than the receive. So if the receive mic wire has come lose on you mic or CB then trying any 4 pin mic will help determine if this might be the problem.
  3. Should the mic change not solve the problem then I would open the radio and with a magnifying glass look for bad soldier joints on the mic adapter or any wires that may have come loose.
Due to the fact you have confirmed your transmissions are being received thesse are about the only two things it could be.

The mic play back sounds deep and muffled , i was online chat and when i set up the mic volume, it played back deep and muffled like on the movie silence of the lamb.

Its set too loud and the mic is way to close to your mouth. try seeting the boom mic about 2inches from your mouth!
It's a matter of experimenting with mic placement to get the best results. (If it'sd not a new unit, make sure that the microphone holes underneath the windsock aren't blocked up with debris!)

Good Luck

Cb is Keying Down instead of keying up when trying to talk

if you are transmitting fine Don't worry about the meter. Get an external SWR meter, they are better anyway.

Also, make sure the the switch next to the meter is all the way up on s/rf setting. thats for signal power and receive strength.

Cb problem have a cobra 19dx iv with a 2ft magnet mount cobra antenna swr is good, receive is good, but muffled output

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Which output is muffled, transmit (modulation audio) or receive audio?

If you are referring to the receive audio, initially, have you tried an external speaker? If it works good, then it would be an internal speaker problem; if not then others to check would be:
  • IC1 - KIA7217AP audio IC;
  • CM 10 & 15 - audio output capacitors 470uF / 16V.
if it were transmit / modulation audio, try replacing the mic.

Please postback updates.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Muffled sound

It is possible that your cell phone has gotten something covering the mic or dirt has gotten into it. There is a piece of felt that is used near the mic area. It is possible that it has moved or was never in the correct place. In order to know a person with experience would need to take th phone apart to check the mic area. Or you might just want to have a new mic added.

Uniden pc 78 elite cb

Hi, This is a link to your old post re SWR 3....http://www.fixya.com/support/t180697-pc78_elite_cb As stated SWR 3 is too high, it should be 1.5 or lower. Fiberglass antenna are kinda notorious in setup and experience wise have not performed well or at all. Maybe you should try a different antenna (metal rod). Some good brands/models I have tried with very good results are K40, Hokushin, Comet, Oscar, Maldol, Daiwa. To check if you can receive, stick an ordinay length of wire ('bout 9' long) at the center of your radio's connector. RX should work (pls don't key the mic or TX).
