We were driving and stopped to make a turn the car died... then we tried to start it and it tried to turn over but didnt start.... then it just made a clicking noise when we tried to start it... So we thought it was the battery so we got a new one and still same thing loud CLICK noise when we turn it over... It doesnt make a draging sound when we try to start it just a loud click and then nothing... Lights are bright and all and we even had the new battery tested and it is GOOD!

no but if the alternator stopped charging, the battery would die and make the car cut off. If you continuously tried to crank it, it could have burnt the starter. See if you can turn the engine by hand to make sure it turns freely and has not locked up. The clicking sound is from the solenoid from the starter. You can take the starter off and have it tested at an Auto parts store for free.
Is the car straight drive or automatic? It's not a fuse because if it's clicking it's getting power but it possible that it could be the starter relay.
Under the hood in the black box that contains the main fuses and relays. It should be labeled, but it is under the hood. If there is another relay that has the same plug in and looks the same you can switch it to see if it works and if it does you just need to buy that relay.

Had same problem. long story short, remove ground strap/wire and wher it is fastened to the fender scrape down to bare metal and reinstall securely, presto,works great. need a GOOD solid ground to carry the starters load

Here is why i dont think it is the starter.... We were driving and stopped to make a turn and it died. If it is a bad starter that wouldnt make it stop running? Would It?
The old battery (we thought was dead) we had tested and it was OK still good...the guys at the auto parts place are saying it sounds like a fuse or relay of some sort.... any thoughts on if this could be the problem and what to replace.....
it is an automatic.... where is the starter relay?
Yes there is one in the box that says START (i guess that is it) and it is a large SQUARE one.... I will need to check it tomorrow and see if there is one to switch out and see if it works.... THANKS....
get start once and then turn off the ignition, tried to start again and won't start anymore. Checked the battery, still new, checked the fuse still good, start again can't hear any click from engine
my 2011 hyundai sonata will only attempt to turn over, we know the battery is good.
