The Epson aculaser c900 has not been used for a couple of months as we have had a new printer installed. We have tried to use it again today and all colours are printing very faintly. We have changed all the toners and the other black part (not sure what it is called) and the printer is still printing very faintly; we have also emptied the waste toner. All colours are being printing so all have been installed correctly, the problem seems to be elsewhere. Any ideas?
When printing, as thepaper is being transported up the printer, try pressing the right door panel of the printer firmly with your hand. If the colours are much improved then the printer requires a new Transfer roller.
1. Open the Right Door.
2. Remove the Transfer Roller while opening the shaft holder (white color) levers found at the left and right shaft ends of the Transfer Roller to unlock it. Lift out the roller.
Turn off your Epson C900 printer and unplug it from your computer and from the electrical socket. Open the left-side panel of your C900 printer and locate the toner cartridge you want to replace. Epson has labeled each of the four cartridges.
Stick a finger in each of the holes in the empty toner cartridge. Pinch your fingers together and then slide the cartridge out from the printer's interior.
Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging and shake it vigorously to remix any settled toner. Take the cover off of the new cartridge by lifting it up and out to the right. Slide the new toner cartridge into the empty slot in your C900 printer. Close the left-side panel of your C900.
