Unit just shut off - standby/power light starting blinking rapidly.
Unplugged unit to see if it would reset - to no avail. Standy/power light still blinking rapidly.
Any ideas?
yup, first time yesterday... unplug, replug cured it (reset combo buttons didn't work) Today its offline alltogether. Even unplug/5 min not working.
I have exactly the same problem! Sometimes when I turn the input dial it comes back on but this time it is out for good. I have tried re-wiring and unplugging etc. nothing seems to work.

Funny, i have the same problem - although unplugging the unit does seem to help temporarily but the unit does slip back into protection mode shortly thereafter. Spoke with Marantz who suggests unplugging all the speaker wires and testing them one by one, assuming you can get the unit operable again, which i've tried to no avail. I've read on blogs that others have experienced the same problem with this unit and others like it in the series. When and where did you buy the unit?
