The basic Futura program cannot take regular image files like jpegs or bmps. You have to have Futura Autopunch to convert image files into embroidery files. Whatever images you have must be converted to a compatible embroidery format. Autopunch and PhotoStitch are able to do this. I suggest you invest in Autopunch to start.

Make sure you have an up to date version of winzip or some software to unzip your images. then extract them to a folder for your sewing machine. I am having a problem with my ce-150 going out of time. have had my machine since christmas and have had to have it repaired two times already. Any advice would be a super huge help.

I am trying the Futura CE350 embroidery for the first time. 1) why isn't the needle positioned in the hoop area? should I move it? and 2) I receive an 'E-6' error.

Turn the software on your cpu, turn on Futura, the hoop handle will move automatically, then attach the hoop, send the design to the machine, lower the foot handle, press start. Important, avoid jamming the bobbin by using cotton thread on the bobbin. And you should have received a software tutorial to read before using the machine. I have a Futura CE250, the tutorial is easy and fun.

Bobbin thread not feeding properly

The tension used to wind the bobbin is not wright, remove all the thread and rewind the bobbin. Make sure that you put the bobbin in place exactly as shown on the image, I didn't in the beginning and couldnt figure it out, now I now IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO PLACE THE BOBBIN CORRECTLY.

Bmp files

Your CE 200 allows you to do very basic digitizing by using Autopunch. The color difinitions on your bmp. file should be clear, or your results will be poor.

To activate autopunch, click on "create" from the top menu and select "autopunch" from the drop down menu. A new Autopunch wizard menu should open. Click on "next" on the browse to your bmp. file by clicking on "select". Keep on clicking on "next" until you get to the "customize stitch block" menu. Here you are able to remove unwanted blocks or change the stitching order by clicking on a block in the right hand menu and the clicking on the "Remove", "move up" or "move down" buttons.

By clicking on the radio buttons, just below the "move down" button, you can also select between Fill stitch or Satin stitch. When you are happy with your decisions, click on next and click on finish.

That is about all that you can do and autopunch will do the rest. I suggest you import a couple of dfferent clipart images and play around as discribed above to make you familiar with the program. You will also see different results by changing options.

If you are not happy with final results, I suggest you invest in a proper digitizing program, such as Creative Drawings. Visit the at www.drawstitch.com/Creative

Help

It probably needs to update with the Singers program, it might have a deleted memory file or something so you really need to find somewhere you can possibly get online. Sorry

Embroidery centering

From my experience with this machine it is not a problem with the machine itself, but a software issue. Maybe your computer is not compatible. My first suggestion is to try to uninstall AND completely remove ALL programs related to Futura. Then restart your computer. Now re-install ONLY the main program. See if this works. Do not get frustrated, this machine usually takes awhile to figure out. Training is important for 100% success. Good luck!
