Unscrew the knobs at each end of the load bars. Make sure they are unlocked or they will not unscrew. That will loosen the clamps on your rain gutters or factory roof bars of your vehicle. Then you can just lift the Thule load bars off your vehicle.
Unfortunately you will need the new kit specific to your car. Thule and Yakima both for that matter do a ton of research to make sure the mounts are specific to the shape of the car to ensure that no damage occurs and that your roof rack does not go flying off. You have to use the system specific to your car to make sure that it all works correctly.
