Samsung LCD won't turn on.

I have a Samsung LCD LE40R74BDX tv. We have been having problems with it for a few weeks now...when we turned the tv the red light would blink and it would click. The delay was getting longer and longer and now it doesn't turn on at all.

I have a 40" Samsung LCD that has done exactly the same thing over the past 2 weeks. It is 2.5 months old. I haven't had a technician out yet as they want £145 just to make a house call.

Tv starts turning on then turns off several times. never fully boots up.

Most likely failed capacitors in the power supply. I recently had the same problem with my 26 month old Samsung LN46A750. Samsung paid for the installation of an upgraded power supply board.

Hi, My SAMSUNG LE40R88BDX/XEU LCD 40'', isnt working! When you turn the TV on it sounds like someone is constantly turning it on and off with the remote, as its making a constant switching on and off...

It sounds like the power supply board has some bad capacitors that need to be replaced. Samsung is covering the cost to repair this problem on some models. You can call 1-800-samsung to find out if your unit is covered.

Samsung 40" tv not coming on

I would check out the power supply module for bad caps with bulging tops. Check DC voltages at the output connectors, you should have 5, 12, 24V.

Built in freeview locked up in tv

I also got a black screen! I then turned the TV off, pressed TV and while it was lit, quickly pressed info, menu and then mute. Then switched the tv back on and amazingly......the menu was there. Go to item 12 and reset. I am please to say that we are back in business,
