My G1 can't power on :<

I have a new problem with my HTC G1 --- it won't SWITCH ON! I was just surfing the Net using the
WIFI, and it was working fine. After surfing, I switched off the
screen and put the phone on standby mode. After a while, I noticed the
green blinking light which usually meant that a text message has just
arrived, so I tried to activate the phone but the screen remained dark. It stayed this way, with a dead screen and the green light
continuing to blink, and wouldn't turn on/off no matter what button I
pressed. Finally, I decided to remove the battery to force it to
switch off. I then tried to recharge the battery, but still no
response from the phone so it's not a battery problem. Any advice please, anyone? Thanks.

Sounds like the red buttons have stopped working. you can attempt to reset the phone, if that fails either the button will need to be replaced, or you can contact T-mobile for a replacement given it is still under warrenty.

to reset the phone, try this:

with it OFF press the HOUSE and the POWER buttons until the phone powers up with a triangle and a yellow '!'inside. slide open the screen and press 'ALT' and 'W' at the same time. the phone should boot up as normal. if that fails, call t-mobile 1800-937-8997 for a replacement.

My Axiom 49 won't turn on or light up. It was just working yesterday. How do I get it working again?

The cable could be bad. Try another cable. USB port problems are also common with M-Audio.

If that doesn't work, try using a 12v adapter to power it on.

Just make sure you don't use both USB and the power adapter at the same time, or you can fry the board.

If it powers on with the adapter then it's an USB issue. If it doesn't, then it's something else.

I have a g1 and it downgraded to 1.0 how can I upgrade it without a manual update

How to Update G1 Phone Firmware RC33

1. Download RC33 update from Google here.

2. Rename the download file from signed-PLAT-RC33-from-RC30.f06aa9b3.zip to update.zip, and place it at the root i.e the very top directory of your Micro SD card. (If you added the file to your microSD card by connecting the handset to your computer via USB [rather than using a dedicated microSD card reader], make sure to unmount it and disconnect the USB cable now.

3. Turn off your G1 Make sure it's completely powered off. Now again turn it on by holding the Home+End keys until you see T-Mobile G1 logo.

4. From the icon screen, open the keyboard and hit Alt+L.

5. Press Alt+S to begin the update. Remember, the update needs to be in the root of the Micro SD card and needs to be named update.zip.

6. Once it finishes, follow the onscreen instructions and press Home+Back to finish.

7. G1 Phone will reboot a few times to flash different parts of the firmware.

If all went well, you should now be running the latest update, RC33. Enjoy your new, shiny RC33 update, complete with Google Latitude!

To make sure all your hard work wasn't for nothing, hit Menu > Settings > About Phone > scroll to Build Number. You should see RC33 in there somewhere.

My g1 phone wont let me put pics on my computer suddenly

My next step would be to try a different USB cord.
Next thing to try is pop the sd card out of the phone and then back in.
If that does not work power cycle the phone.
After that your guess is a good as mine.

HTC g1 can not power on after dropped down

If cleaning and checking the battery terminals doesn't work, you may have a broken motherboard. The T-Mobile G1 logic board is nottoo hard to replace. A good source for the part would be ebay. Thereis a step by step guide too that explains how to replace the board : T-Mobile G1 repair. There are also third party T-Mobile repair companies that do it for you.

Please make sure the camera is charged. Also try a different usb port in the computer. Usually in this instance the camera has to be fully charged or plugged into another power source. Depending if the camera can draw power from the usb or not.

G1 touch screen not working

my workaround is to charge with a different power source, or stop charging. i think it's the power source. for me, the touchscreen goes crazy when i'm charging via usb with this old computer, but it's fine when i stop charging. it's probably an unclean power source messing with the capacitance sensor.
