better you do is ask your cell phone provider or where you are connected to activate your sms most of the time thats the problem before you reformat your phone

there's an installer. you cannot use the USB cord if the program of C261 is not installed. where did you buy the cord? My cord was lost. You can also try to send your pictures to your computer via MMS.. but you must Open your GPRS first..

depending on the service provider the settings required are different. Sometimes the provider sends them to the phone upon activation of the phone.
